“Fabulous Hotel”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 12 January 2014

We stayed at the Pullman Legian from 7/1/2014 to 10/1/2014 in a standard room on 5th floor facing Melasti St. We had a wonderful and enjoyable time. Everything was perfect - spacious room with very good bed, air conditioning, separate enclosed room for shower, toilet and deep bath. Breakfast was an amazing choice, the food in restaurants was first class and can highly recommend. Hotel grounds were manicured to perfection with the swimming pool at ground level great for shade during day and the infinity pool on third floor best for early morning and late afternoon. However the most enjoyable part was the friendly staff who excelled in providing a high standard of service from check in, bars, breakfast time (ask for the omelettes) and restaurant (highly recommend crispy duck). The massage in the spa room was a terrific and relaxing experience.
Hotel is well located in Legian with access to beach and short walk to shopping and restaurants

Recently stayed 3 nights in an Ocean View Room and were lucky enough to get a 5th Floor room which did indeed have a fabulous view over Kuta Beach. Quite a reasonable rate too at around AUS$150 per night. The room and bathroom were a nice size however, even though this is a fairly new hotel the room and balcony were already showing signs of wear and tear but everything was clean and tidy and I loved that I could see the ocean even when sitting on the toilet!

Located on the corner of Jalan Pantai and Jalan Melasti it is only a short walk to loads of fabulous cafe's and restaurants and about a 20 minute walk to Kuta Square and Mata Hari's.

The hotel appears rather cleverly designed in that each room overlooks something pleasant weather it be the sea or the garden or the pool. There are two pools, one a rooftop horizon pool that was really busy when we were there, no pool lounges left and they had run out of towels. And one that was in the garden area that seemed to have plenty of towels but again a bit light on when it comes to pool lounges. Never ceases to amaze me that some hotels have accommodation for hundreds of guests but only enough pool lounges for about 40 of them. What is that all about??!! But anyway it was nice and cool in that garden pool and there is a bar right next to it so you can get a nice cold drink as well.

When we first arrived in Bali this time it was absolutely pouring with rain and I was somewhat alarmed that water was pouring through the ceiling in the lobby onto the floor. It soon became clear that the horizon pool which is over the top of the lobby was flooding in the downpour and I said to my husband that I thought the pool was going to come crashing through the ceiling of the lobby. I was amazed to see the pool still being used by patrons while all this was going on.

Needless to say it was all alright in the end but still one wonders about health and safety concerns in Bali sometimes or rather the complete lack of them!

Anyway, we enjoyed our stay of just a few nights, but not sure if I would stay again, would depend on the price I guess, but I do rather prefer more resort like accommodation if I am going to stay longer in Bali.

This was our first time at the Pullman Resort. Overall the property was great. Our deluxe king room was spacious, clean and comfortable. We travelled with our 22 month old son, whilst there is a kids club we didn't use it cause it was more for older kids (3plus). Our boy enjoyed the swimming pool each day so we weren't too bothered - although it was a big consideration when looking for accommodation.
The staff were fantastic and friendly. We were very happy with the level of service and hospitality. I would recommend this hotel for its location, cleanliness and service. The restaurant had a range of dishes and enjoyed the different cuisines offered each night. Again, staff at the Pullman just made our 5nt stay just that little bit special.

We had a short stop over in Bali. Although this is located near Kuta, it was a quiet oasis. Great value and we received a complimentary massage - which was classy and professional. Breakfast buffet was good and service friendly. Good security.

I have stayed at this hotel several times and will continue if and when I can get a good rate. the hotel has two nice pools and is very close to shops and markets. the spa is fantastic and the daily specials can be quite well priced. Food at breakfast, or room service is of a reasonable standard for bali.

Booking the Pullman I was expecting a 4 star hotel, and without doubt the property meet my expectations. The rooms are quite large, i would avoid a sea view room as this looks out over the busy road and can be quite noisy with traffic. Beds in the rooms are very very hard, this is the only real bear bug i have with this hotel.

Recently returned from staying at the Pullman and our overall experience was average. Whilst the rooms are quite large and presented clean - there were quite a few leaks from the airconditioning and upon arrival it smelt quite musty. The Wifi at the resort didn't work for the first few days of our trip and when it did work was quite intermittent, constantly dropping out which was a source of frustration. For an Accor resort we expected a certain level of care and they unfortunately were not met. Quite disappointing for a 5 star resort. This hotel is more directed towards families, so if you are younger like my friend & I - you are best off staying somewhere closer to the nightlife, but regardless it's only a short scooter ride away. Location wise Pullman is close to Beachwalk where there are many great restaurants & shopping. Overall, we would definitely choose to stay elsewhere especially considering the amount of money paid and what we actually received. Staff weren't the most accommodating when approached about certain things. I definitely recommend the resort makes a few changes to ensure they get happy customers, otherwise I suggest to stay elsewhere.

Thank you very much for sharing a very detailed overview of your visit. Please be rest assured that my team and I take your feedback very seriously; I have personally discussed the inconsistency and the less than satisfactory aspects of your room facilities, the wifi connectivity. We hope that you will be able to return and renew your faith in us.

We had 4 relaxing days in Lovina and then 3 days in the hurly burly of Legain before returning home. It lived up to all expectations !! Legian is chaotic at first and it's understandable why the first time visitor can be a little overwhelmed.
We decide to treat ourselves to a little bit of luxury to allow us to escape from the unbelievable traffic jams (at times gridlock) and booked the 3 nights at the Pullman Great spot (even though the one way street can cause problems for the uninitiated). It was an enjoyable time, but there were a series of 'niggling' things that stopped it being a 'real' luxury experience.
We bought the things (smelly air con, door to the balcony v difficult to open, pool lost water level, found a dead bird on the pool on an early morning swim) to the attention of the staff and they were quick to do what they could to help.
The gardens and general impression are magnificent; food was great.
It was just that the issues that arose sort of took the edge off what was to be a luxury end to our trip. Perhaps next time will be better ?
