Beach side, great beach food at lunch. We had snapper crumbed and it was superb! Piping hot and so fresh. Very clean and great service.

“Great food, great drink. Slooowwww service :(”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 14 October 2011

Located as part of the O CE N Outrigger - it is the perfect location for sunset. The food here is good quality. The drinks are what you would expect. But, the biggest let down here is the service - or lack of it. They have plenty of staff, waiters, chefs etc, but they all seem much too interested to talk to each other than to look up and see how the guests are going.
I might excuse this place if it happened once & just call it a bad day, but to happen at dinner & at lunch... Come on guys. Slow to take first order of drinks, had to tackle another staff member to get a second round. Then waiting for the bill like they didn't want us to pay (ie it took forever to come out - after asking twice for it).

In fairness to the kitchen staff, the meals were wonderful and speedy, but the waiters let the whole place down - whether management needs a kick, or the staff need a kick - but someone needs to put a firecracker somewhere to get things moving because they are missing out on extra sales of drinks, or desserts.

Final note, I would return to eat & drink, but just be prepared to take it slow.

“Great restaurant”

The service was great and the food matched. Could not fault this restaurant. Lovely atmosphere and great view. Our friends ordered fresh oysters and they were delicious. Next trip I would love to go to the seafood buffet they have on a Tuesday night.

“Superb location”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 28 August 2011

At flying fish you get great food and value for the dollar especially when in a large crowd with many varied tastes. The menu covers so many countries and the are extremely adaptable when it comes to food allergies. The just get it right. Where else do you get such great street theatre from all the hawkers from exploding wallets, brightly lit propelled platic helicopters to brightly lit bouncing balls and if your their at about 8pm even a fireworks show

“Excellent seafood and service”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 27 August 2011

I love this restaurant - superb seafood and extra touches such as amuse bouche and garlic bread. it's a little pricier than nearby places like Takor and Zanzibar but I think the extra money is worth it, even if not every night. two mains, one dessert and soft drink was $35. Only sorry we won't get to try other dishes there on this trip but looking forward to next time.
