“Very Clean quiet rooms”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 17 November 2011

This is a great little hotel away from the noisey bars. SO if the bars are what you are after then it is about a 15-20 min walk away and is very dark late at night. The roads can get quite busy and sometimes the sidewalks disappear so make sure you take a torch with you.
The rooms are very comfortable, air conditioned and have lovely clean bathrooms with great showers.
The breakfast is OK, I got down there when it was almost time for finishing so the hot food was cold but the fruit was nice and I made myself some toast.
There is free Wi Fi in the lobby.
I had made a booking on Asiarooms which had not come through but the guy behind the counter honoured that rate which was nice. They were aslo very helpful with onward travel advice

After a 18hr flight this was perfect. Its about 10-15min walk from the beach (most places aren't on the beach anyhow so dont worry about waking up to seeing the sea) but its nice to be away from the hustle bustle off the Legian/kuta hustlers and you get to see a little more of Legian than the bintang t-shirts that the main drag is.

Room was fairly spacious and clean and most rooms back onto the courtyard pool. Chilled and nice sunloungers. Whilst we woke up to people taking an early dip its extremely relaxing hearing the gentle sound of the water splashing.

Staff were friendly however we were ripped off by a member of staff. Fresh from the plane we went to Jimboran Bay (15 mins away) and the hotel organised a driver for us to take us there and we were quoted 200k rupiahs. We haggled to 150k rupiahs but on the way back we hailed a taxi and it was 60k. Now I know that everyone wants to make money and there will be some exploitation which I can take but this was ridiculous. We got to Ubud for 200k if that is a signal to how far you can go. I really dont think the hotel should be looking to rip off its customers. Interestingly she didnt offer to get us a driver to take us to Ubud when we were checking out as she obviously knew we would not take up her offer!

Overall, a good pace to stay but just dont take the extra services that are available

I have to nod for this hotel excellent service. First time I check in they greet me when I enter the door, the staffs are helpful and friendly, breakfast is great comparing with the price.. you can order items that is not on the buffet for free, and the rooms is well equipped, with flat 32inch tv.. they have a backyard where u can read book very peaceful and relaxing.

Room Tip: you better have room on second or third floor, because the pool is right in front of rooms on first...

This hotel certainly has a fresh and new feeling, with a modern slate pool in the courtyard, large rooms with spacious showers, and all the amenities. The location is a bit far from the beach for people who wish to go back and forth throughout the day- it is about a 20 minute walk down a busy street. As for the staff, we had some problems during our one week stay here: Watch out for Internet specials that advertise in a different currency, and make sure that the hotel staff charges you the correct amount which you booked under. We were significantly overcharged once we arrived. When we approached the hotel manager, we had to make a huge effort to get the problem fixed. He was argumentative, even asked us to print out the current exchange rates to 'prove' that we had been overcharged. We eventually received the correct rate, but were treated differently by the staff for the remainder of our stay. It was bad enough of an experience that we will not be returning- there are better places to stay in this area.

Room Tip: Wifi works well in the courtyard, but if you want a connection in your room, try to book on the far...

It was a really good to stay at Gosyen Hotel. My husband and I stayed there for a week. The room was large and beautiful with a full amenities, I love the bed. I enjoyed especially when i read a book at the backyard garden (near by the pool) its very quite and peaceful. seems like we having our own private villa. LOL. not too much noise from the road. and not too far also when we have to go to Kuta or Legian. the staff really helpful. I'll be back.

Room Tip: rooms very nice, u will love it like me

This hotel is a new hotel but is by no means flash. Still... A good cheap hotel with friendly staff and good service. It costs roughly $2.00AUD to get to Seminyak via taxi and $20AUD to Ubud. Not a luxury hotel but a good budget one.

Me and my family are town people from jakarta. Last month when I go to bali with my family, we try to choose GosYen hotel via travel agent. It was a greatfull time, the location is near by kuta and seminyak. And we get a good service from the staff.we fell like in our home. I will be back to GOSYEN hotel when we back to bali again. One thing, they know really our needed and their furniture was very complete for this value of room.
