Me and my two friends stayed in Ananta Legian hotel for three nights in June. We booked two rooms only few days before arriving and got a very good deal. This was also due to the fact that there was still some building work going on. We read about this before making a reservation but according to the other reviews, the hotel was meant to be finished in June.
At arrival, we were greeted by a very friendly staff. They couldn’t find one of our bookings, so the check in took a little longer. Our room had a view of a wall, even though we requested a pool view at the time of the booking. So we asked to be moved and after some explaining, we were given a room over-looking the pool.
The room was very small but nice and clean. There was complimentary water in the bathroom which was replenished every day (when the concierge took us to our room, he explained that the water was “commentary”, instead of complimentary. Funny.). The room was advertised with bathrobe, etc, but this was missing from our room. When we asked, we were told that they simply didn’t have any.
The breakfast was nice but no fresh juice, which was quite strange as fresh juice was available in every home stay/ beach bungalow we stayed at in Bali previously.
The hotel has been rated as 4 star, but it has a long way to go before it can compare to other 4 star accommodations.
Over all, we had a good stay, the reception area was very impressive at night, the pool was nice too (you don’t get much sun though as it is sandwiched between two buildings), staff was very pleasant and helpful and the rooms were clean.
I’d recommend this hotel if you can get a good deal, otherwise I don’t think it’s worth the full price.

Hi Guys,
My mum and i have been here for 3 nights now and we are very happy with our choice. It's clean, (rooms are small but we have a great view over the pool). Staff are super friendly and remember you and ask how your day trips are going (assuming you have told them you are doing day trips). Service is great - i called them at 11.30 last nigh to ask someone to bring me a smaller pillow and it was here within a few minutes. Very quiet and sereen around the pool. (renovations are definitly over). We had bought a bottle of champagne with us and came home from dinner last night and asked the staff to bring us the champagne and 2 glasses up to the rooftop (they were keeping the champagne in their fridge as ours was too small to fit it) and they did straight away even though the rooftop was closed and there were no staff up there at the time.

Breakfast selection is honestly better than a 5star super plush villa my husband and i stayed in last october, a chef making omlets for you, bannana pancakes and as much maple syrup as you want, bacon, toast, baked beans and tomatoes (and indo food as well).

Walking distance to the beach also.

And then we remember we are only paying $40 each a night for a room with a double bed and were even more wrapped!

Also i dont know what the restaurant is called but if you turn left out of the otel there is an outdoor warung style place that does delicious ribs on the left hand side a few doors down, we didntmspeak over dinner at all as we were too busy eating (although their bali red wine and classic margarita are quite awful),

Breath taking when you first walk into the temple style reception lit up with little lights, the welcome drink is refreshing and just what is needed after the taxi ride from the airport. The room was clean and new and had a magic view over the length of the pool. The breakfast was lovely and relaxing sitting in the breakfast area with the sun shining on your face. Great location, close to nice beaches. Good value for money. Checkout procedure needs to be improved, very slow and frustrating. Pool was great, saw some negative reviews about the pool only having a ladder and no stairs, really get a life, if this is all you can pick on why do you bother.

Room Tip: Our room was at the far end of the pool and had an amazing pool/court yard view.

A friend and I wanted a hotel that was around 3-4 stars in Bali close to seminyak. Given that this was the first time we have been to Bali we wanted something that was comfortable and affordable. We stayed for 9 nights at this hotel and believe it ticked all rhe boxes, the staff were unbelievably friendly especially our new friend (dede) who worked at the front desk. We woke up in the morning walking to the lobby staff would say good morning stop and have a chat to you about what adventures you went on for the day in exploring Bali. For those that mentioned all the negative remarks above would have to say there are worse off people living outside in rural areas without the adequate food to sustain themselves or their family. We live in a society where people judge a bit too much. Reading the review from xenicon about the sun, the beach is a five minute walk from the hotel if u wanted some sun. I thoroughly enjoyed the breakfasts and the helpful staff. The rooms were nicely furnished and always cleaned daily. The prompt service by staff was incredible and I hope to come bak to this beautiful hotel in the future.

We were moved here because our hotel (the haven) had pipe problem and our room couldn't be used at all.
Room is very sterile (hubby mentioned it kinda feels like hospital room). It's clean, standard, and somehow lack that comfy homy feeling. It's quiet though, so we could get a good sleep.
I heard that the hotek is kinda new, but the bathroom doesn't feel that new for some reason..
Location is a bit far from everywhere.
Breakfast was ok.
Service was average. The front desk lady wasn't very helpful or friendly.

Personally, I wouldn't choose to stay at this hotel myself though...

Room Tip: They're pretty much the same
