This hotel is nice enough, the rooms are big enough for myself and my partner to stay in it quite easily. Here are some positives:

1. The rooms a LARGE
2. Plenty of International T.V Channels
3. I got a great price about $45 AUD a night for 11 nights
4. Friendly Service
5. Great size bathroom with all you need

Negatives are as follows:

1. There is a school or something next door and they are so LOUD (Don't expect to sleep in)
2. Breakfast was bellow average to say the least. If you get it free great! if not don't bother
3. Restaurant was Overpriced and small servings ( I didn't enjoy a single meal)
4. Room Service was overpriced and my food was freezing by the time I got it.
5. The pool is a puddle (Don't stay here if you want to lay about the pool)
6. None of the staff speak ENGLISH that well.
7. NO LOCAL KNOWLEDGE AT ALL!
8. Didn't Replace towels or didn't give us towels at all when cleaning room
9. Didn't replace all the bathroom amenities that we used

Overall Its a great hotel if you can get a good price. However if you want to lay about the hotel and sleep in late this isn't the hotel for you. The school is just to NOISEY, you will not get a sleep in.

I will be back however if I can get a room for under $50 a night again.

I stayed for 4 nights and was very happy , the staff were very friendly , helpful and nothing was too much trouble , my room was clean and comfortable and the meals were great . The hotel is fresh and fun with its surf theme and the staff were great with the children staying there. It is a short walk to Legian st for shopping , restaurants and bars .

At surface level this is indeed a very cool hotel. There are surf boards everywhere, two iMacs in the open reception for guests to surf the internet, and a nice looking little pool with sun beds around one side.
The downsides though are plentiful enough to keep me from returning.
1. Noise
At the moment there is a large group of tourists here from Hong Kong who have pretty much taken over the hotel. They shout from table to table at breakfast, they shout along the corridors at night, and they scream and shout into the early hours of the morning playing drinking games.
2. Breakfast
An absence of bliss due to the other guests, but also please be aware that the breakfast is designed for Asian tourists with lots of rice, noodles, porridge. The juice pretty standard fare for hotels like this; cheap and watery.

3. Location
Off a busy road at least 20 mins from the beach. You nee to rent a bike to stay at this place, unless you don't mind walking along a pot-holed pavement for 20 mins. Renting a bike is fairly cheap anyway, so this isn't such a big deal.

The staff are very pleasant both in reception and in the restaurant, and I can understand that it's not an easy thing for them to cater to the needs of one grouchy tourist (me) in terms of the noise level of the other guests.

Sorry Bliss Wayan, not for me. I'm still here by the way :)

We loved our stay at the Bliss! The rooms, pool and grounds are kept spotless, it always looked so pretty. The pool is fairly small but nice temp (not cold at all!), and loved the loungers in the pool! The left side of the pool has sun pretty much all day. Staff are very friendly and happy to help you with anything. Breakfast is not the most extensive we have seen, but can't complain for the price - and we always got offered eggs and bacon if there was none out. Definately recommend the Mi goreng! Yes it's a bit of a walk to the beach (about 10 mins/4 blocks), but it's actually nice to stay on a quieter street where you don't get hassled immediately after you leave the hotel. Also the spa was great value. We will come back to this hotel!

Well where do we start, My girlfriend and I were told about Bliss Wayan by a friend who had just got back from a trip to Bali. We looked it up, liked what we saw and then a few weeks later we arrived. This was our first trip to Bali and we LOVED IT!!! We were greeted by the most friendly staff and immaculate venue. The Bliss Wayan is a new building (just had it's 1 year celebration) and is with in walking distance to EVERYTHING! It is far enough out of the noise of Kuta but only a 5 min WALK or for those who don't like walking the most you will pay for a taxi (Blue Bird) is a total of $1.50 AUD or $15,000 RUP (close to $2.00 AUD if it's really busy on the roads)

The Bliss has a number of free shuttles to Kuta throughout the day and they can arrange activities etc for you at the front desk.

Your best bet for ANY information is to speak to the staff at the Restaurant at the Bliss Wayan. Noel (no oil) and Nyoman (no man) are the most friendly and generous people we have meet on this trip. They really know how to look after the customers. Just by talking to Noel and Nyoman we managed to save ourselves money and time. Asked them questions about how much to pay for things etc, or where to get something and they will be most helpful to get you the answer. Example: We arrived very late and were after some smokes (I know it's bad) spoke to Noel and 3 min later he had gotten them from god knows where.

All in all we traveled for 2 weeks across Bali and Lombok and decided to come back to the Bliss Wayan to spend our last nights cause we LOVED it SO much, the pool is great (very clean) the deluxe hotel rooms are perfect for couples of any age and for those after a bigger room the Junior Suite was perfect (we stayed in both).

Not to mention the price! Best Value for you MONEY!!! Great deals on Agoda etc!

Be sure to leave a Hat at the bar after your stay, you'll see when you get there. =D

If you want a budget hotel with clean rooms then this hotel is for you. However, do not let your expectations get to high. The selection at breakfast is ok but the quality is poor. Bread and pastries were stale each day. Eggs are prepared a number of different ways, but come hard fried. The juice is good, but the coffee is not great. We ate at the restaurant once. It is better to eat elsewhere. The staff is very friendly and the service is quite good. It is a short walk to Legian. Not so good at night. The sidewalk is full of holes. The hotel is quiet when awy from the restaurant area. This place is good for a young budget traveller, but don't expect anything special.
