“Beautiful kind and hardworking staff!!Great value for money! Beautiful beachside resort!”
Reviewed 8 April 2013 via mobile

My partner and I went on a couples trip to this resort with two other couples. We loved it!! We found the staff incredibly
lovely and kind and always worked very efficiently. Even when we were always sleeping in and running late to breakfast they would still make us fresh omletes. For what we payed we were expecting a budget resort but it was beautiful!! The food was great, massive buffet breakfast included with optional pancake and waffle house upstairs included...sooo yummy!! The pools were lovely and the food and drinks prices were reasonable. Its close to shopping,massage/pedicure places and not far from the night life. The beach in
Front of the resort was not the best..but the pools were great. I definitely recommend this resort.

I've stayed in many different hotels in bali and never experienced such rude staff and as unhelpful as the staff at Legian beach hotel. This hotel has the potential to be a fantastic hotel as location is great and the hotel grounds are very pretty but the terrible customer service ruined our holiday. Would never ever stay here again nor would I ever recommend to anybody else. Very disappointing.

We stayed there for a week with my parents and our two kids, 3 and 1. We really loved the whole set up, the gardens, the pools and having the beach at our door step. Staff was super friendly and great all around. The rooms look a little bit like they could use some renovation. Everything was clean and good quality, it just shows that humidity and time have done their job to make it look a bit old and worn.
There are two restaurants attached which is great if you just want to have a nearby dinner with the kids. Great location with sunset views and good food, although more expensive then "outside".

The breakfast restaurant wasn´t great, a bit noisy and busy. Although the food was fresh and of good quality, it is presented in a not very attractive way (or at least compared to others in that price range) My parents had been 4 years ago and apparently it was a lot better back then, more attention to detail and just overall better quality. If you go, the pancake bar upstairs on the 2nd floor is great, but easily to be overlooked.

The Legian Beach Hotel at Legian is in a great location. Close to the markets, restaurants etc. The hotel room were refurbished a few years ago (in 2009?). Bungalows towards back (east side) of hotel are quieter as they are ay from the pool and restaurant areas, but still only minutes to walk to the beach. Quite a few steps around the place so may not be best for elderly. Great beachfront bar/cafe/restaurant. King size beds in Garden Bungalows

Overall, loved the place and will be going back

This is our Bali home, we truly love it having stayed there many times. The rooms, the beautiful grounds, the food, the pools, the staff, the great location on the beach make LBH an ideal home from home. Being located on Jl Melasti also makes it very close to great shopping as well.

Because of health complications I need a hotel with easy access to the pool, restaurant and bathroom, LBH fulfills all my requirements.

I have no hesitation in recommending LBH, it is fantastic!

Room Tip: LBH has some "handicapped" rooms located on the ground floor of the accommodation block, j...

My sister & I stayed here for 4 nights after a 6 day yoga retreat so it had a lot to live up to. The location is right on Legian beach. We stayed in a garden bungalow which was adequate. If we were staying longer I would have chosen a beach view. The food wasn't as nice, the service by the pool was great but the satay sticks hard & chewy & the Gado Gado not enjoyable. The hotel very central so plenty of nearby places to eat. The pancakes & crepes with fresh cream & at least 12 choices of syrup at breakfast on the 2nd floor was delicious !
Overall the grounds were lovely, it's on the beach, & central to Kuta & Seminyak for shopping & Dining.

This is the only hotel I have stayed at in Bali and my review is based on comparison with very similar seeming resorts in Thailand. I'll also add that our stay was only for one night.

Firstly, the resort looks great. It is beautifully landscaped and the alfresco dining and lounging areas facing the beach are also very well done. The two swimming pools are also very nice with plenty of space.

The garden bungalow was clean and fresh although a little dated in terms of furniture. It had a kind of pointless entrance area which just seemed to be a waste of space but the outdoor verandah and seating were great for relaxing. The bed was very comfortable and the air conditioning totally up to the job. Our bungalow, number 1, was immediately adjacent to the busy main road which runs past the edge of the resort and also forms part of Kuta's nightmarish one way system (our taxi ride to the hotel from Seminyak took nearly 90 minutes as to get to the resort from that direction it is necessary to go around the entire one way loop!) - surprisingly though the noise was very well subdued and not an issue at all.

The major negatives of this resort for me were service & breakfast. Our checkin was chaotic & frustrating...and it was not busy at the time. I stood for around 30 minutes as I was passed from one staff member to another as the person looking after me left to answer the phone and just never came back. Confusion seemed to reign behind that desk! Staff were very poor at explaining things...the wifi, pool towel cards etc. I had a lot of problems using the wifi in bungalow 1 but phone calls to reception were never returned.

A lot of reviewers have commented on the renovated breakfast area. Personally, I found the main part of the restaurant to be pretty uninviting. When we arrived on Sunday morning there were plenty of free tables in the non smoking section but all still had not been cleared from the previous guests...so we ended up sitting in the smoking section. In summary, the food was not good at all. There was plenty to choose from but the quality was simply not up to the standard of similar resorts I have stayed at. The dim sum were particularly sad!

There were a couple of stand out staff who were doing a great job service wise but most just seemed to be going through the motions.

This is absolutely the type of resort we like to stay and to be honest I would probably be willing to give them another go for a longer stay hoping that it would be a bit more polished next time.

Room Tip: Go for a garden bungalow...the more expensive 'beach bungalows' offer no more.
