“Wonderful holiday”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 28 September 2013

We had a fabulous family holiday at The Legian Beach Hotel, have been to this hotel many times and it just gets better and better. The staff are wonderful and always look after us. The Italian Restaurant Gino's is a must best pizza and pasta I've had in a long time. We had a garden bungalow and it was so peaceful, loved the big verandah were we had afternoon drinks. My kids could play on the grassed area, this suited us much better then a highrise hotel room. Great pool for our kids and excellent, reasonably priced food and drinks around the pool. Loved the breakfast upstairs at the pancake station, great views and service. Just loved it !!!!

Room Tip: Bungalows much better then the superior rooms, as in nice quite gardens and a lot closer to the pool...

Great location, fantastic food, great for family or couples..
This was my 10th time to Bali but first time to Legian Beach Resort. We were in a garden bungalow and very happy, everything was spot on no complaints at all. Great restaurant just a walk away, great massage places as well.

Just returned from Bali and the Legian Beach Hotel and loved every minute of it. The hotel is not too far from the airport which was convenient and located literally 10 steps from the beach. First impressions were good - check in easy and informative. Our Deluxe Garden Bungalow (Room 17A) accommodation was perfect (we had concerns as the next door bungalow was being rebuilt but building work was quiet and during the day for a few hours...nothing to worry about). Room service and house keeping were also good and prompt. The food was good as was the service - we loved lounging on the beach deck cafe eating Red Snapper sipping Bintang whilst watching the amazing sunsets. The main waiter (Billy?) took time to remember your name and greet you with the same smile every time. We will definitely return to this hotel which is something we rarely say! The swimmings pools were both great and clean and the fitness centre is brand new if you want to work off those extra Bintangs.

Room Tip: Garden Bungalows are great and worth spending a little more on. The lower the number the closer to t...

My partner and I have just returned from a get away to Bali and we chose to stay at the Legian Beach Hotel. What a great choice!
We found the staff to be so welcoming, warm and helpful. From the reception staff to housekeeping, all people that we came across were so friendly.... always with a smile.
We stayed in a deluxe garden bungalow and we both thought the room was ok although it was smaller than we expected.
The grounds are beautiful and the position of this hotel is excellent...very central to all things in Kuta but a 15 minute walk away from the hustle and bustle of Kuta central.
We would definatly stay in this hotel again

Room Tip: Our room overlooked the squirrel feeding area so the outlook was lovely and it was close to the pool...

Overall this hotel is excellent. Location is the best and only a short walk to great restaurants and shopping. The rooms are very clean and spacious and nice, we had a garden cottage with a very relaxing terrace out the front. The only gripe I had was the puny bathroom, you could just about sit on the toilet and brush your teeth, and when you had a shower the water flooded the floor. So if bathrooms are your thing its not the best choice. But to us it was a minor concern compared to the rest of the amenities at the hotel. The breakfast was AMAZING and sitting up at the pancake/waffle section overlooking the beach was a real highlight of the day.

Room Tip: Garden cottages are really nice, we didn't see the hotel rooms.

We initially stayed in a garden view bungalow (not in the main building) for 6 nights which was beautiful. It was peaceful, private (so private we could open up the curtains without fear of anyone looking in) and spacious with a big 4 poster bed. The hot water was always hot. We were then upgraded to a pool view bungalow for 3 nights (which is essentially the same as the garden view bungalow except a little larger and closer to the pools/restaurant). The pool villa was very nice except the air-con was playing up and we had to call about 6 times to get it fixed. This is a big, traditional Balinese-style hotel, very clean and well maintained. The grounds are lush with all sorts of tropical plants & trees. The selection of food at breakfast is unbelievable and you're greeted by 2 men playing a traditional xylophone-type instrument, but I found sometimes the staff were slow to clear tables after people had left. I had to ask a few mornings for the table we wanted to sit at to be cleared of the previous occupant's plates & glasses. But the variety & quality of food was top-notch. The staff were always friendly and ready with a smile (cheers to Maranatha on the main desk). The 2 pools (both with spas) are large & beautiful, surrounded by frangipani & palm trees offering heaps of shade from the sun and there's plenty of sun beds to lie back on. The daybeds at the front of the hotel overlooking the beach & surf were great to lounge on and while away the hours. There are lots of restaurants, and shops within an easy 5 minute walk, but there's also a resident family of annoying beggers always on the footpath. The beach is literally 10 steps from the front of the hotel just across a paved roadway blocked off from traffic, so it's quiet despite the busy road along the side. There's also a large population of resident squirrels which are fascinating to watch. This was our 7th trip to Bali in 8.5 years - we love it - and this is now definitely our hotel of choice and we will go back. I highly recommend spending a little more and booking a garden view villa rather than stay in the main building - it's well worth it.

I spent 6 nights at the hotel, although it was old it was very clean and the staff were very friendly (happy to order us McDonalds at 2pm as their room service has finished for the night). Having two pools was great and the hotel is located right on the beach. The one thing that stood out was the food, we tried most of the restaurants at this Hotel and the food was outstanding.

The only thing I would have liked was more pool service, you had to order from a nearby bar and sometimes you could be waiting up to 30 min for your drink. There was a lot of security at the hotel so we felt safe (they also increased security when the Legian market was on).

The location was great. Note: Due to the one way street it takes about 10min to get to Seminyak and about 20 - 30 mins to get back to Legain. It takes an hour to walk back along the beech from Seminyak.

Overall, very happy with the hotel and would stay here again (garden bungalow) **just remember to take some aeroguard the mozzies are nasty at night**

Also, if you stay here try out the Carla beauty shop their massages are wonderful (turn left at end of driveway, about a 2 min walk from entrance of hotel). For great sunset drinks and food try Cocoon in Seminyak, take your bathers.
