Aside from their reasonable price per night I commend this place for it has a lot to offer for their guest. Staffs are polite, always smiling and listen to their guest needs. I avail the hotel tour package I felt safe and great Though the driver can't speak too much of english. Facilities are awesome. Free welcome drinks and was given a free vodka shot for my Birthday. I love the swimming pool scenery, jaccuzi, and how can I forget the chance of upgrading our room into deluxe garden feel relax and happy during my birthday and honeymoon. Don't miss out their Teppanyaki you will surely enjoy this dinner. I will stay the same hotel when I come back..

We stayed here for 5 nights in April with another couple. Check in was easy and we were greeted with cool towels and a welcome drink voucher. We were told we were 'upgraded' to the Bungalows. On arrival at our bungalows we were dismayed to find that the other couple we were with had been allocated a room with two twin beds. We called about this supposed 'upgrade' and were told someone would come to push the beds together. The fact that hotels still do this frustrates the hell out of me. You may as well just have two seperate beds, clearly those who run these hotels have never tried to sleep in one of these pushed together 'double beds'. It's still uncomfortable in the middle with a hard mattress edge! Never the less we went to reception in person and our friends were moved to another bungalow with no problems.
The reason I say 'upgraded' in comma's was that we had a look at the standard rooms one afternoon and they are no different to the room in the bungalow, only that the bungalows are closer to the pools/restaurants and beach. I certainly wouldn't pay any extra for these rooms on initial booking!

The rooms are starting to look a bit old and tired, the bathrooms are quite small but managable. You can't have two people in them at one time. The CD player/stereo in the room plays DVDs too, which was a handy addition. We had a lot of mosquito's in the room on checking in, but we visited reception and asked them to spray it for us, which they did and after that we were vigilant with not keeping the door open for long and didn't have any further problems.

The resort itself is nice, lovely gardens and grounds and two decent sized pools and we never had to want for loungers. The staff were absolutely lovely and my favourite part of this resort. They always had a smile and a 'good morning' or 'good afternoon' when we passed them. A special mention goes to the tireless staff at the pool bar when, even after dealing with some embarrassing yobo behaviour from people during happy hour one afternoon who had arrived for a wedding (not being held at this resort) still served them and us with a smile and a laugh.

Breakfast deserves a special mention and was another favourite at this resort. Absolutely anything you might want to eat for breakfast is at this buffet and the waffles and pancakes are awesome!

Our flight home was a late one, but rather than paying the US$150 for a late check out, we were able to keep our bags locked up at reception, were given temporary pool towel cards and were able to shower in the shower rooms at the back of the resort (in the block where the standard rooms are) before leaving for the airport, which was really handy.

Overall if I came back to Bali I would probably try another resort, it was nice, but not amazing and unless you get a good deal (which we did) I think the normal prices they're charging here are not value for money.

Room Tip: Don't bother paying extra for a bungalow - you can probably get an 'upgrade' for free wh...

My friend and I and our two 15 year old children stayed at the Legian Beach Hotel from the 03/04 to the 13/04 this year and what a fantastic time we had.

I just love this hotel and this was my 6th trip to Bali. We were up graded to a bungalow right next to the frangipani pool (11c) which we just loved as it is right near everything we needed (pool, beach, breakfast etc)

The hotel is in a great position within walking distance to restaurants, mimi mart, the beach and great shopping

The hotel is very clean and the staff are wonderful they really go the extra mile to make you feel welcome, safe and comfortable during your stay

The hotel is right on the beach and I just loved watching the sun go down each day. It's a truly amazing experience sitting in the beach with the other tourists having a nice cold drink

The other travellers at the hotel are very friendly and the hotel staff were fabulous with the kids

We just love this hotel and we stay here every time we go to Bali

Thanks Legian beach Hotel for another wonderful stay and see you all again in Oct 2014 for my son's 16th birthday

A special thank you to 'Win' at the hotel reception who assisted us on numerous times with various things. We appreciate your kindness and special care :-)

Room Tip: Bungalow 11c A bungalow is a must! You will love it :-)

First time to Bali. Stayed 3 nights at Legian Beach Hotel. The location is great. Had to stay in the hotel for a US$25 buffet dinner on the Balinese New Year Day (Nyepi) which is mediocre. Love the pool. Breakfast was great though. Staff was friendly and the service is top notch. The only blip was the mosquitos in the room which was a little irritating during one of the nights. Overall, it's great place to stay.

My wife and I went to Bali to just relax and that is what we did. The legian is close to everything. Great restaurants, in and out of the hotel and the beach. We found everything we wanted within walking distance. The hotel had areas where you could get away from it all. The staff were just great.

Room Tip: We had room 102. It was perfect. Very quiet, beautiful gardens. It was a small walk to the restauran...

We have just returned from 10 nights at the Legian Beach Hotel, and we had a great family holiday there.
It was the first time we stayed there, and would definitely book to stay there again/next time. Originally booked a superior family room, but it was up the back of the resort (although close to the entrance/shops/restaurants etc) so asked to be moved & got an upgrade to a beach bungalow near the pool, we just had to pay for an extra bed, and we had a cot put in the room for free.
Our children (aged 7 & 1) slept in the small front room of the bungalow, while my husband and I slept in the main room. This suited us much better, and was close to the pool, beach, and breakfast area.
There was a good selection of breakfast food (Wish I'd known about the free pancake and waffle station upstairs sooner, but happy I found it eventually!)
Pools and pool areas are very clean, our kids had a blast! Pool bar staff are lovely, happy hour is busy but fun, we mainly swam in the smaller pool as it was close to our bungalow.
Staff were all helpful, especially Marutha in the main lobby, who was absolutely wonderful and was always there with a smile & willing to assist :)
Sunset beers at Bruno's bar on the beach are cold & cheap, Sheppy's bar and restaurant up the road was our favourite place to eat at, Uncle norms was good too. Shopping nearby was great, money exchange & circle K/mini marts are very close too.
We had a lovely family holiday!
Can't wait to go back!
Worth paying a bit more for a bungalow if you prefer to be close to pool/beach etc
