This was our second stay at The Padma, the last time was in 2005 and sine then the hotel has undergone a massive renovation, it is truly impressive, the gardens are amazing and the design of the hotel is truly beautiful.
We stayed in a deluxe chalet, we were lucky enough to get one that overlooked the gardens.
The things that are nice about the Padma are the friendly staff, they always smile and say hello.
The pools are both lovely, the temperature is just right.
The downsides of the Padma is that it has become very popular with people who like to sit around the pool and talk very loudly, we also noted that there are a lot more families staying here. As a couple without children, we found being seated next to small children at breakfast to be quite annoying.
I like staying at a bigger hotel, but this is a downside that is difficult to avoid.
I would recommend the Padma, it is a gorgeous resort style hotel, but if you are on a honeymoon or looking for a romantic spot to get away from children, this might not be the best choice.

Have stayed many times this was the last to many screeming unruly children service has dropped from previous visits, hotel is stunning staff always friendly, rooms are always clean great location Great if you like lots of kids running riot but if you want a quiet relaxing holiday maybe choose a 5 star a little further out of the hustle and bustle

My wife and I stayed at the padma, with our 20 month old daughter, and had such a great time!
The staff and the resort was so much better than we expected.
We have traveled all over south east Asia, and stayed in many beautiful resorts but this one takes the cake! The kids club was a great for our daughter and gave us some kid free time.
We used a nanny from the resort in the evenings and she was amazing also.
Breakfast was great!
Both the pools had pool bars and were great for children also.
All in all we will be back and would recommend the padma to anyone!

Lovely hotel. Good breakfast. Got an upgrade on our room, which was a pool access room. Brilliant! Pool bar was nice and very welcome. Thought the restaurants were a little bit of a let down for such a lovely hotel. Would go back again.

Stayed at the Padma Resort and was a bit reluctant due to the price being an additional $$$ extra a night. We have a 3 year old and needed a hotel with a kids club and safe environment. Padma has excellent food (Breakfast to die for !!!) and unbelievable pools with swim up bars. Babysitting is cheap and the staff are excellent. You can put your children into a structured kids club for as long as you want and be rest assured they had a great time.
Can't beat the Padma !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Room Tip: If you have one child get a Garden Chalet as there is a comfortable couch/bed. Swim up rooms are awe...

This is more a good standard 4 star than what I would consider a 5 star hotel. The facilities are good, rooms clean and modern, location in legian is great but the little niceties one expects in a true 5 star are missing. For example, we asked guest relations to book an external restaurant - it was too early for the restaurant to be opened so they gave us the number and told us to call them later that day - in other words we were left to deal with it. No bath robes, no water given out at the pool, these little things that make you feel like you are at a 5 star hotel. I know it sounds picky but we stayed at the Conrad at Nusa Dua earlier this year so it was easy to compare the difference in service. Bottom line is I would stay at the Padma again, based on area, there is shopping and plenty activity just outside of the resort, but if I was wanting a more relaxing, less hustle and bustle I would return to the luxurious Conrad Bali or one of other 5 star hotels in Nusa Dua.

Everything was fantastic in my recent trip to the Padma. The garden chalet was large, clean and had lovely decor. I really liked how the bath and shower was separate. The bed was probably the most comfortable I've had out of all the places I've stayed in bali.
The gardens and pools were beautiful too. The Padma is in a great location and we could easily get around bali from here.
The breakfast is amazing with every selection you could imagine and everything I tried was delicious. The breakfast staff were very attentive making sure we always had tea or coffee.
Other staff were very helpful organising transport whenever we needed it.
We used the Mandara spa which although expensive in bali standards was well worth the money. I had the best ever thai and balinese massages here.
The food at the Padma deli was delicious, especially the chicken salad, YUM. Happy hour by the pool was good value and I thought the cocktails were better than ku de ta. The bali's comet became our favourite.
Even though we were four adults we enjoyed watching the squirrel and fish feeding too.
If I had to be picky I would say the pools could be a tad cooler but as everything else was absolutely perfect this in no way affected my enjoyment of the Padma.
I would have no hesitation in staying here again or recommending it to others.
