We originally booked 15 nights after reading the glowing reviews on TA. We left after 9 nights and went to the InterContinental in Jimbaran.
The staff are amazing, one of the best that we have met on our travels.
The Resort and the gardens are wonderful.
Breakfast in the Club room ....excellent.
The beach is disgusting, looked like a tip with rubbish everywhere.
Some of the 'guests' leave a lot to be desired.
Club facilities not up to the standard of a 5★ Resort..some chairs are stained and not enough room for all guests to be inside.
During our 9 night stay...we saw no Manager's in the Resort or Club Lounge.
The Padma Resort is on the beach and very close to all facilities eg mini mart, massages and clothes shops.
We stayed in a Garden Chalet with Club privileges eg separate breakfast at the Club lounge, canapés from 5.-7pm.
As stated before, some of the guest's left a lot to be desired, sorry to say as I am from Australia but the major of the guests are very feral local bogans that sit at the 'swim up' bar all day.....with the toddlers next to them.
On one instance we order a salad for lunch, by the pool, where the lady in front of us decided to change her toddler's nappy right in front of us, a fully soiled nappy, and left it open for everyone else to see.....that was the end of our lunch.
Most 5★ Resort that change you Club rates have separate pool where no children under 12 are not permitted. We have stayed in many Club rooms, InterContinental, Westin, Sheraton and The Grand Hyatt.....and they all have separate area's for breakfast and the swimming pool. ...that's why you pay a lot more for the privileges.
The reason that we left early, and we had to forfeit one nights stay, was that at check in we were informed that due to renovations we would receive $50USD credits per day..and our total was $750USD for our 15 nights stay.We decided to check are room bill after 9 nights as we only ate at The Resort....we were then informed that it was only $50USD PER WEEK!!!!
After talking to a few Manager's to try and rectify the situation, two hours later, the best that they could do was to give us a room upgrade. ....and then charge as the extra night as we are leaving earlier....great customer service!!!! Very disappointed.
This resort is mainly aimed at loud families with lots of baby's around, if this suits you then you will love the Padma, for us.....never again.....
