Very happy with our choice of the Padma for my first trip to Bali (my wife’s second trip) as it was just perfect for the whole week were there in early April 2014. Right from the time “Toby” picked us up from the airport with cold towels and icy bottles of water, until the time we reluctantly had to leave it was fantastic. The resort, the staff, the service, the attention to detail, the gardens and all facilities like the pools were all just what the doctor ordered. We found our room, a ground floor deluxe villa, was spacious with a huge bathroom and very clean, quite, private. No problems with mozzies and in fact only saw one mosquito in the whole week. The choice of pillows on the “pillow menu” works well and again happy to be able to choose such things. Breakfast choices and spread was to die for. Changed slightly from day to day and excellent quality which would cater for all tastes and likes.
All the staff are so helpful and friendly and must be commended on their approach to hospitality to the guests which was far superior than we got in Thailand last year. We must praise a few whom helped make this a memorable holiday for us and the management should be very proud of them. At the lagoon pool the wonderful “Wanda” looked after us nearly every day and gee we missed her smiling face when she had her days off work. The lagoon is not the same without you Wanda and thank you for the snacks you got for us to bring home and try, we love them. At breakfast the lovely “Murtini” looked after us so well and nothing was too much bother for her and we loved chatting about all things. Murtini made my cooking lesson extra special too. We hope your puppy is feeling better Murtini and life is treating you good. The room cleaner whom went the extra mile and not only made sure our room was pristine every day but also made a pig and later and elephant out of towels which really made my wife’s day and she loved them. The security guards all made such a big deal out of us coming and going through the entrance with a personal welcome by name each time so we just had to bring them back an icy cold bottle of Coke or two for our friends. Cheers from Mr. Allan & Debbie.
The resort is right on the beach, has multiple internal resort restaurants. It is an easy walk through many shopping stalled streets or a cheap taxi ride to Kuta. It has plenty of restaurants and eateries (some with live bands) just a few minutes walk away. It is just far enough away from the hustle & bustle yet close enough to all the places you want to get to.
We highly recommend the Padma and will be staying there again on our next visit and cannot wait.
