We arrived at the Padma late on a Thursday afternoon after flight delays out of Brisbane and long queues at Denpasar Airport. The check in was efficient and welcoming. Our room was amazing. The size of the bed in our room was humungous. Breakfasts were unbelievable, the array of foods.....wow. The staff were so helpful and so friendly. We had an unfortunate encounter with a money changer (not the one at the resort...we only realised the slight of hand when we got back to the resort.) I had an uneasy feeling about the transaction, and whilst it all looked above board at the time it was a last minute distraction by one of the shonks that they clearly pocketed some of the money they and we had counted out. However, Padma came to the rescue. We went down to reception and they had tow of the security staff at the resort accompany us back to the money changer and thing were rectified. The Resort has a different food themed night every night and a band every night. I would have no hesitation at all in recommending this resort. The resort itself and the staff were absolutely superb. We will be back.

I was extremely pleased with my experience at the Padma Resort. We received a warm greeting from the hotel staff immediately upon arrival and was quickly checked in and escorted to our rooms. We stayed in a deluxe suite with more amenities than we were able to remember. The rooms were clean, prior to our arrival we were asked to select a pillow type preference - another nice touch. We were celebrating a birthday of a friend, the morning of her birthday a complimentary birthday delicacy was provided to her. The breakfast buffet in the morning was very tasty and provided a host of food options, there's something for everyone. We enjoyed spending time at the pool and especially enjoyed the happy hour. Most of the drinks were strong yet tasty. The gym facility and hospitality rooms for guests checking out in the evening were clean and appropriate. All in all, the staff was friendly, the facility was clean and beautiful, and customer service was exceptional.

We stayed here for a short break to celebrate my husbands 40th. The staff go out of their way to make sure that you have everything that you need. We visited the W and had dinner which was lovely yet the actual hotel felt a little fake in comparison to the padma. If you want a relaxed with beautiful surroundings then this is a great place to stay. We saw lots of families too so we plan to bring our kids back here soon! Can't wait to return!

Have stayed here many times but it seems to not be the same padma as I stayed at any years ago. The mould growing on the walls in the shower and I've been here for 7 nights and has not been cleaned and it rubs off with my fingers .There is no chance of laying by the pool if you don't get down there and place a towel on a chair by 8 am and leave it there like everyone and they never use the chair. I must say the breakfast is still sensational . Just disappointed for the money you pay.

Just back to Ireland after catching up with family from Melbourne and Perth, staying for twelve days at the Padma Hotel Resort, Legian Beach, Bali. Where do I start? The hotel was one of the best we have stayed in. The gardens were immaculate and well kept. The bedrooms were spacious and of a high standard. I have to mention here Sondri from housekeeping. He was so polite and efficient and always willing to help in any way he could. We had booked five rooms and they were all of the same standard. The bed was to die for. I have never came across such a comfortable bed in a lifetime of travelling. Breakfast in the morning was a feast. There was Asian breakfast as well as the usual bacon and eggs etc. I had curry for breakfast one morning and it was delicious. But the most outstanding thing about this hotel was the staff. I have never came across hotel staff who were so polite and helpful in my travels across Europe. I really envy you Australians who have this hotel almost on your doorstep.
Unfortunately Bali is quite a distance from Ireland and I can’t say I will be visiting again in the near future but if it was closer to home I would certainly be arranging my holiday at this hotel in the near future.
One further point, if you are a beach person as opposed to a pool person (the pools by the way were also fantastic) please go out the Sunset Bar exit to the beach and just to the right of the beach entrance you will find Josh and Sammy who rent beds and sell Bintang beer there. They just made our holiday and kept us refreshed with their beer and kept our wine chilled in their cooler. They were just lovely with big smiles each day. Also the girls who gave the ladies foot massages were great and we came home having made new friends.

once again my G/F and I stayed at the Padma Resort and loved the stay...we stayed for a total of 8 days and 7 nights
As per normal we found the service from the staff was very friendly and helpful

the food was brilliant as per normal. We ate at the Japanese restaurant and also twice at donabi restaurant as well
Also the breakfast again was brilliant and catered for everybody and a very good spread of food and very tasty

and for people who like to keep their fitness up whilst they are away the Gym is very accommodating to those needs with free weights, treadmills and x-trainers and a couple of cable machines as well

overall the resort is beautiful with nice gardens and landscape , great food ,rooms are good and the service is excellent......we will be back again next time we come to Bali

Room Tip: we have stayed in the lagoon room with a balcony overlooking the lagoon pool and found these rooms q...

We stayed here in may for 3nights after a week in ubud. The hotel itself is huge and very spread out, it took us a couple days to suss out where our room was located without asking for directions, after that we found our way around quite easy. The pools are lovely and the pool bars are very well stocked and staffed (very friendly).
Location was great for us as we wanted to be close to everything but without all the young bintang wearing idiots falling about drunk (ie kuta and a couple hotels ive stayed at before). This hotel would suit couples and families alike.
The day spa is top notch, and uses elemis products from England, so its not a cheap bali massage with tiger balm....
The location is good for the beach (just across the road) .
The Bad point of the hotel was the price and quality of the cocktails, not a huge problem but we like to sit arou d the pool and have a few and would happily of spent alot more money if the dri ks were a decent quality. ...for bali the prices are quite high which is ok but the drinks u get were not that great. Also the happy hour only includes a few 'basic ' cocktails which r the cheaper ones.
All up we had a great time and the staff were lovely.
We will be returning in September and staying here again----so hopefully the cocktails are a bit nicer ......
Good place to stay in Bali.
