“Clean & Comfortable”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 14 July 2014

We stayed here for 8 days & could not fault anything. The room was comfortable, linen crispy, white & clean. The staff were always happy & could not do enough for you. Good variety of food for breakfast & very centrally located in Legian: 8 min walk to beach. They can organise a driver for you (so you don't get ripped off), a late check out + store your luggage if flying home late. Very nice roof top infinity pool + more.

When I stepped outside of the airport it was a welcoming sight to see the hotel driver waiting for me holding a placard with my name on it. Upon arrival at the hotel they welcomed me and provided me a moist towel and drink. The room was nice, the bed was huge and comfortable. Sometimes a few ants got unto the bed but not a huge problem. The A/C worked like a charm with remote control. The hotel was a little too quiet for me though. Not many people at the main or rooftop pools, which was a bummer for me since I traveled solo and was looking forward to meeting people. The hotel location is good because it's about a 15 minute walk from the clubs/discos and the beach. The main clubs like Sky Garden, Bounty and Eikon were all on Legian Street which is on the same road of the hotel. But the hotel was far enough from all the party noise. The fastest way to the beach was through the alleys and the hotel has a back entrance that connects you to the alley. The hotel can connect you with tour guides and transportation to attractions. I rented a scooter for 3 days which the front desk coordinated for me and the guy came over with the scooter to the hotel. The room service was delicious and expeditious in delivery.

I have to give it up to the front desk staff for their professionalism and genuine interest and care for their guests. Long story short, Ms. Ayu at the front desk went so far out of her way to assist me by bringing her own personal laptop and camera cable so I could back up my pictures unto a flash drive.

I stayed with a friend at the Akmani for 4 days a month ago, at the beginning of June. From the communication via email prior to my stay, up until the very last moment, each and every staff member there was a joy! It has been one of the stand out hotels I've stayed at, even as a flight attendant who travels constantly. My friend lost her phone on the first day we were there, and we were amazed at the extra effort and consideration that we were given. The receptionist, who had already finished for the day, as well as two hotel security guards, and a driver drove us around to find her phone and translate/liase for us. 2 hours later, we actually got it back! We were obviously ecstatic and relieved to say the least.
The hospitality you are showered with is this hotel's shining badge. Every time you walk in or out, each and every member of staff greets you like a friend. No job is too hard for them - from finding restaurants (they recommended Mexicola which was faaantastic!), making bookings, giving you any information, directions, etc.
The place is conveniently located on Jalan Legian, but shaded and away from the hustle and bustle. There is foliage next door, and it's extremely quiet. Modern, sleek decor. The rooms can be a little small, but as previous reviews have said, this is mostly because you get a huge bathroom. We had a grand deluxe pool view room which was excellent. Definitely recommend this! However, if you prefer a lot of quiet, I would suggest a level 2-5 room as there can be some noise from the pool/lobby area, or near level 7 (buffet floor) during busy periods/mornings.
I enjoyed staying here immensely. The location is fabulous. Make sure to check out the amazing roof top bar! It's very unique, and has a great view of the sunset. The pool bar is small, but enough to keep you cool while you chill. We were there during a quiet time, so it wasn't as happening, but it would be incredible during busy season. I always like Legian as it's a good distance from Kuta and Seminyak. Walkable if you'd like, or a 10-15 min taxi ride. The Akmani is in a really really great part of Legian though, and has The Haven spa just a minute walk away! Ask for Herman - he's fantastic! Also has two BMC money changers a couple of minutes walk away, as well as many convenience stores, shops, etc.
Would definitely stay here again, I haven't been able to recommend it to enough people!
Thank you Akmani, I was enthralled ;)

Room Tip: Level 2-5 rear of the lobby if you want a sleep-in in the mornings. But not a huge deal. Grand delux...

Having been to Bali many times before with friends (never with my family) we stayed here for a week. I was really impressed with the staff both at reception and the restaurant. The rooftop pool always had sun and was nice to spend the day at. The food from the restaurant was good however they didn't always have the pizza we wanted. The hotel is situated on a main street which meant we had a variety of bars, restaurants and spas. I would recommend staying here as it wasn't expensive and it was lovely.

Room Tip: Rooms on level 5 were good as you are on the level of the restaurant and close to the lift to get to...

Excellent location, great staff & buffet breakfast, late checkout at 2pm & airport transfers. Refreshing drinks on arrival and cool flannels. Great rooftop and ground pools. Rooms were nice and cool and water bottles provided daily. Great room service.

This hotel is in a good location and has large comfortable beds and pillows. Unfortunately our bathroom was very smelly, even though it looked clean the toilet smelt, and the lid had to be kept shut at all times. The towels were very grimy as well.
The staff were all lovely and very friendly. The breakfast was good .
The pool downstairs was very clean but in the shade at all times so not good for a tan, but lovely at the end of a hot shopping trip. The music from a hotel close by was really loud all day long finishing in the evening. The rooftop area was nice but noisy due to the music. This hotel was not expensive so value for money in most ways.

Dear Miiliemoo,

Thank you for you long review that you shared here at TripAdvisor. Regarding the towels, we have planned to replace those from last month as the color of the towel has been fade already also we have found source of the smell in the bathroom. We have addressed your down fall comment to the related department to be follow up immediately. Your review brings us to the awareness to always have an excellent service in every line.

Despite from those inconveniences, we are very happy to hear that you still consider our hotel value for money in most way.

Once again, thank you very much for staying with us and we are looking forward to see you again in Bali.

Kind regards,

Management

Fantastic hotel, very friendly and accepting staff, well spoken english. Clean and tidy. Ground floor pool is outstanding especially accessed straight from your room. Roof top pool & swim up bar is amazing at sunset.
Would definately recoment this hotel to relax from the hustle n bustle of Kuta and Legian.

Room Tip: Grand pool side deluxe, or pool side deluxe is a must !!
