Myself and a friend stayed at the Akmani in Juy 14 and got a warm welcome from all the staff and especially Ryan who was very helpful and friendly! I am from South Africa and my friend from New Zealand. We hope to be back next year guys! After our arrival, we got brought complimentary drinks and our room was very well set up.For the price it was the best in its market I have seen.
Close enough to the beach, great food with included breakfast, a gym and pool + upstairs rooftop pool/bar. However it is gthe staff at this hotel that really make it shine and keep it up!

Room Tip: Poolside rooms look awesome!

We stayed at the Akmani Hotel for four nights as it was recommended by a friend! It was fantastic! The staff are so lovely and accommodating! Always willing to please and very helpful. We stayed in a grand deluxe room and that was perfect. Huge bed! Lovely bath! The pool side rooms looked nice but the ground pool isn't t heated and doesn't get much sun so it doesn't really matter too much. They could do with new towels. They also need to be more clear about happy hour, as we bought a few cocktails because we were told happy hour was between 5-8 but then when we went to pay they showed us that we were supposed to be ordering off a separate happy hour menu. Overall though, a really beautiful hotel, good to get away from hustle and bustle. Great breakfast!

We stayed for 10 days 16th July to 27th July
Nice place, staff very friendly .Was nice and quiet not may around after school holidays. We loved the fact that this property is small ......no yobbo's and redneck aussie travellers.
Breakfast was good lots of choices... yep ensure you get your toast before ordering your eggs!!
Not sure how old the hotel is....... probably due for a bit of a spruce up in the next year or two.
If you want 5 star this hotel is not for you, but to be honest you get what you pay for!!
Have a look on the web site and read other reviews ensure you get a pool site room!!!
For what we wanted it was perfect, great location, clean, friendly staff.... we had a very nice stay.

We stayed 3 nights and found this hotel really comfortable. The breakfast was fantastic with lots of choices, staff so nice, nearly overbearing. We got a super cheap deal and the room was comfortable but had such a bad view that the windows were frosted! (I opened the window the full 2 cm it would go and could see a dump, literally) But didn't worry us as room was for resting only, just the first time I have seen this!

But it is in a good location, nothing was too much trouble for the staff and rooms were comfy

My wife and I stayed from the 20th to the 26th of July. We wanted something local this time and close to rest and kuta, that it is. We had just a basic room which is fine as who wants to spend all the time in a room when away. But having said that we upgraded to a pool side one as I found the basic room depressing, looking over a heap of rubbish etc.. And no balcony to chill out on. So being over there for my birthday worth doing a upgrade. The staff are loverly and very helpful, breakfast is ok just watch out that they have cooked what you have order as I,m sure we would have been sick if we didn't check. You sort of order then they will bring to you,, keep a eye on that as two mornings we waited for our toast that never came. No biggie but if you have eggs and want toast well.. Anyway. The ground pool is almost a no go,, bloody freezing .. First time I have accounted a cold pool in Bali or the like..they need to sort this out as it's just a waste the way it is. The up stairs is a cool hangout but the swim up bar pool is basic and not for swimming as to its only about two feet deep.. We found the food to be pretty good. But lots of great food close by. The A/C is good but that don't blow very hard, and can get a bit dry during the night. Why these hotels don't have fans, ceiling fans I don't know, as it would save on AC power, and keeps the room air fresh. Yes there are better hotels but it's pretty good. Would we come back Mmm no.. We would probley go back to the big type resort..

Room Tip: Upgrade to pool room.

Dear DavidJay6468,

Thank you for spending your time to write a review on TripAdvisor. Sorry to hear that your stay did not meet your expectation. The Akmani Legian is designed with a very unique concept but would still be able to deliver the need of our customers. Our classic rooms indeed has no balcony and offered no view but has window that gives you fresh air circulation when you turn of the air conditioner. Our main pool has not much sun during the month of June to September but our plunge pool on the roof top can be an option to have sunbathing.

Rather than giving you excuses, we take all your feedback very seriously and once again, thank you for bringing these to our attention. We will address these with the proper department to improve the quality and service that we offer to our guests.

We do hope that you would give us another chance to make your stay as best as it can be.

Kind regards,

Management

The hotel staff were amazing accommodated to all our queries.

The hotel is located in a prime location if you love eating out there are lots of massage places nearby at very reasonable pricing too.
The beach is located about 10 minutes walk where it is popular for water sports.

The breakfast accommodates all cuisines from East to Western varieties.

Actually this is a good hotel, the money U've spent worth with the quality of room and helpfull staff. But for a local (specially woman) who stay here with foreigner and have to wait car outside, got some "naughty" question from security staffs, really ? It is so annoying!!
Well your hotel not a survey office, right ? And what the guests do with their foreign or not foreign partner, it is the guest privacy, right ?
