Great hotel with a great location.
Friendly staff and clean spacious rooms .
Breakfast was good and with a good view of the busy street and it's goings on.
Massage /spa was over priced but to be expected from a hotel of this calibre.

Wonderful staff, always there to greet you.. The room was brilliant and clean. They even provided a cake for us as it was my partner's bday. Had a great time. The Spa was a bit pricey but the ambiance was good. Loved the swimming pool and especially the buffet in their restaurant,The Mozzarella. The tours and hiring of private taxi's are good with friendly drivers, if your willing to pay.
Overall it was a good place to stay when your in Bali, convenient with friendly and helpful staffs, good facilities and food, just brings a smile to you when you look back on your stay.

This hotel is a rectangle with the pool in the middle. The front end has reception on the ground, the restaurant on the next level, spa on level 3. The remaining end he's are all rooms. As you face the hotel the left hand side is the quieter side of the hotel, entry to the rooms to the outside, balconies on the inside. The right hand side has a small lane below it. Bottom 3 levels have the entries on the outside and the balconies in, top 2 floors have the entrances on the inside and the balconies on the outside. Balconies are certainly more private with no other rooms looking in however they are also noisier. Possibly this is so the top floors can take advantage of the sea views. Really you only have a great view of the Pullman hotel.
The rooms are a good size, nice bathrooms with space to move, room safe is a good size, good amount of storage room available. The sofas area nice touch to have somewhere to sit rather thank just on the bed. The balconies have day beds which I found a great place to relax and read.

So the good, the bad and the ugly

Good
Room is great, fantastic service, good breakfast at Mozzarella and of course great dinners there too. The spa was beautiful though a little pricey. Good gym as well. The security guys were also great, they were always happy to help you across the road by halting the traffic. Really comfortable beds too.

Bad
Being on the right hand side the traffic noise was noticeable, generally did not affect our sleep.

Ugly
Laundry prices. Yikes. We found a place called Filia Laundry on lane 3 just down Sahedewa st on the left hand side. We had 15 items of laundry done for less than it was going to cost us for one tshirt at the Magani.

I would definitely stay here again. Loved the hotel and it was great value for money when we went.

Room Tip: Left hand side is quieter

My colleagues and I had come to BAli for a conference and chose this hotel based on Tripadvisor reviews. We did not regret it. We were welcomed with a fruit drink and our rooms were upgraded to deluxe suite (pleasant surprise!). We wanted a poolside facing room but that was not available. As a result, had to do with the noisy road facing room (small minus). Though the view from this room was quite nice. The service and quality of rooms was excellent and the staff was friendly and professional. Tried breakfast on the last day and it was very good for the price. We found a few good vegetarian items that served our purpose. There were some reliable money changers close by (BMC) which was a relief after hearing about the ripoff stories.
All in all, it was a terrific experience.

Room Tip: As written by everyone else-POOLSIDE ONLY.

We stayed at the Magani based on information on TRIP ADVISOR. Oh boy was it right
We would recommend this hotel to anyone.
It was our first visit to Bali and we loved it. We stayed for 6 nights, and wished we could have stayed much longer. The hotel was beautiful and the staff fantastic. Hera, Hedi and Robi at the pool bar, Dwi, Ani,Yumi, Dika and Vian at Mozzarella restaurant, and Gusti in the spa made sure we did not want for anything. We were welcomed like a members of the family. The food was always wonderful, and the lovely ladies on the travel desk were so helpful and always really lovely. We were so relaxed after our stay it was amazing.
You are moments from the beach in one direction. Across the road from markets, restaurants and bars. And just down the road from the main street in the other direction.
You even have security staff that will stop the traffic for you so you can cross the road safely.
We would suggest that you get a room on the East side of the hotel as it is a little quieter.
As non smokers the only thing we found disappionting was the many people smoking around the poo. It was very smelly and we were not on our own in our thouhts on this point either.
We will definately be going back.

Room Tip: Book a room on the East side of the building as they would be quieter, there is a lane way on the We...

Writing this review as I lay by the beautiful pool. It couldn't wait til we got home because this place is simply amazing. My wife wasn't super keen on coming to bali but this place alone as changed her perception of bali as a whole. The staff here are incredible. I would refer to them as friends more than employees as they are always happy to have a chat and joke with you. As well always happy to help with any requests and needs. Yoga, Heri, Dika and Robi have been standouts and absolutely need to be rewarded for their service. These guys have been great fun and have made our stay awesome. We have stayed in a premier pool room, the room is large and well maintained. The private pool is excellent but we have spent more time in the main pool as we haved loved sitting in the pool bar with the delicious cocktails made by Yoga. The restaurant is great as you overlook the busy street below with always delicious food. And again terrific service. We have no faults for this place and are sad to leave in a few days but I am sure we will return. This place is a must!

We stayed at the Magani from Monday 3rd March for three nights. We are a family of two adults and 1 child (6 year old). We were not sure what to expect for a young family - as there is no kids club (that's key criteria for us) but we must say that we were not disappointed. They were able to organise a professional nanny to help us with our son during our 'parents time getting a day spa treatment'.

The hotel was fantastic. We booked a private pool suite/room (highly recommended) as it had a small plunge pool, deck area and large bedroom with living room, walk in robe area and bathroom that opened to the deck/pool.

The fit out was a high quality. The staff were amazing. We only had one minor issue on the last night - regardless they fixed it within 5 minutes. We like the fact that the person who came to see us (was young) but empowered to make a decision, no fuss and get on with it. They were very genuine.

This place was awesome. The Day SPA we went to twice - for a couples one hour massage, best value in Bali (unfortunately my husband fell asleep snoring!!) which was amusing to the therapist.

The pool was immaculate and beautifully maintained - there is a swim up bar with nice music. The clientelle were mostly from Australia/NZ and very friendly. Some young families but generally a good mix of ages.

The food was delicious. We enjoyed the daily breakfast buffet and also room service - satay chicken, salad, pizza.... OMG. Very good.

We always stay at the PADMA and get the business suite, but this is now our new favourite. *****

We're glad we gave the Magani a go. It's a refreshing change for us to have a hotel that's got the combination right; small enough to get around easily (not too far to walk within the hotel grounds), quiet enough to sleep during the day, great ambiance, price for food / day spa / drinks / was cheap and it's opposite all the shops/markets outside.

Anything missing? No, this was a great hotel and we will definately be coming back again soon.

Thanks to the staff at the Magani, we really enjoyed our stay!

Room Tip: If your budget can afford it try the ground floor suite pool room - it's very large spacious and...
