“Ask for second floor room!”
Reviewed 15 June 2012

This hotel located in a very strategic place, just meters away from beach, the thing is the room quality, somehow it was a bit dusty and can't keep away from the street noise, so order second or third floor room to stay(a bit) quiet. Oh and ask to clean the room first before you check your room.

The room was ok, not so great but it is not the worst either, balcony view just facing the buildings. The food at the restaurant was good, we enjoyed the food everyday for the 5 days we stayed there. It is just a walking distance to the legian area and kuta beach

upon check in, they gave me a juice with free floating ants. The floors are dusty but they still mop it so the dust gets wet and the floor end up looking dirty. the bathtub have a HUGE crack...(Room 305) cannot be used.. the railings at the balcony is not safe, it's rusty and the corners are not attached properly. Have to pay extra for a few hours extension until 4pm because the check out time is 12nn. the pink cloth on the bed have a huge hole in it! the english channel on their tv have a mail message ALL the time! the only positive thing on this hotel is their breakfast, it's included and it's not bad. we're lucky that it's windy when we were there. lesson learned, if u didn't pay that much, don't expect too much!

Let me start by saying that we travelled to Bali for a month. It was me, my partner and our 3 children (4, 2, and 1). This hotel was amazing for the lot of us. It is a bit outdated, but does that really matter? They have two beds in a room one king one queen and a balcony over looking the pool. The pool is a unique shape and if there is more than 1 group of people in the pool, it gives you an area to have to yourself. The breakfasts were good, eggs any way you like along with breads and rolls, fresh fruit and salad, and always an indonesian dish or two. Nothing like some Mie Goreng to start your day off!
The hotel is central to everything you could need. A mini mart across the street, souvenir shops everywhere, a place that does laundry super cheap if you walk out the hotel and to the left. Called Bagus Laundry. It's staff is wonderfully friendly and very helpful. We had problems with our credit card and they let us make the international call to our bank that took upwards of an hour free of charge. There is a lovely little restaurant attached to it that serves some good food. The nasi goreng is quite nice. But seriously don't go to Bali and skip the warungs. You must go to a Warung called Warung Melang it's in Kuta. The price is spot on, its clean and the food is amazing. The 5 of us ate like kings (Milkshakes, appetizers, mains, etc) for under 100,000 rupia or approx. $11AUD.
I can't fault this hotel. We will definitely be back.

We stayed 2 weeks in march at this hotel and we don't have anything bad to say. Staff was very friendly and helpfull and the location was great. 10 minutes to the legian beach. Breakfast was good and room (superior) was clean. AC worked and in our room was not any mosquitos, maybe we were lucky :) If your looking value for our money and aren't looking 5 stars hotel this is the place. Next time that we going to travel to Bali we are happy to stay at Vilarisi.

Room Tip: our room was on the 3rd floor on the poolside and it was very nice and not so noisy at all

Why do some people complain about this place?? Staff are friendly and only too happy to help, facilities are adequate, location is great and price is excellent. No, this is not a 5 star resort. It is what it is....a very good 3 star hotel. For less than $100 a night (family suite) for the three of us with breakfast included, we will be happy to return to the Vilarisi in the future.
