“Great staff, great location an the best value for money in Legian.”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 3 January 2011

When reviewing a hotel, it is amazing how peoples' opinions vary.

After reading the reviews given to the Casa Padma Suites, I agree with the good comments and disagree with the bad comments. After more than twenty trips to Bali, most of those spent at a more expensive hotel in the same street but closer to the beach, we thought Casa Padma was excellent value. The staff were very friendly, thoughtful and exceptionally helpful.

The airport shuttle service is great and on time. Despite being regular visitors to the "other" hotel, we never had an airport shuttle service!

I think the location is perfect. It suits our needs as we have many Balinese friends in this area.

Like many hotels in Bali, it is not perfect and you could pick on minor details if you wish but it does remain an excellent value overall for all of the criteria below.

Would I recommend this hotel? Absolutely! Would I stay here again? Absolutely!. I am about to inquire about accommodation for 2011!

Regards

Peter

Stayed 3 nights in the Superior Suite. Hotel has a nice ambience, though the rooms look modern on the internet, it's actually quite worn out. The bath tub was rusting and good thing there was a shower stall in our suite, otherwise I would asked for another room. Staying on the 3rd floor was good except if you are traveling with heavy luggages - there are no elevators!

I paid $77US per night incl breakfast (same choices everyday) at Casa Padma but I only $79 at the Sanur Beach Hotel and the breakfast buffet was amazing --- choices were overwhelming. Also for $79 @ the Sanur Beach Hotel, the basic room was equal to the Suprior suite at the Casa Padma.

Sorry, would not recommend this hotel for the price they charged. FYI the pool is not treated and made up of rain water!!!!!

We just wanted something cheap but still comfortable. for the price the room was pretty good, and the location was great. But the staff were so bad I couldn't reccomend it. Bed was ok.. not super clean, had A/C and bathroom was decent. Its a lot more modern then most places in Kuta/legian for the same price. room also had a flat screen TV , which was good because we picked up lots of DVDs. the pool was Ok, and breakfast was alright too. All up for 59 bucks a night it was good value. but the staff are terrible.. like.. no idea. you can stand at the desk for 5 or 10 minutes while they stare at their mobile before they will acknowledge you. And dont bother asking them advice or the location of anything or really.. any questions. Though I'm sure they knew they would stare blankly and say I don't know. We didnt really mind but what ruined it was when we checked out we sat and counted the money with them, then they counted it, we even tipped. We were in a hurry because we had to catch a ferry from Sanur. Half an hour after we left our driver )from the hotel) gets a phone call and turns the car around - said we didnt pay. We showed him our receipt which was stamped and everything was paid. he didnt care and kept driving, we were going to miss our ferry. So i made him call them and put me on, they got funny and said "oh, you need to pay five US dollars still." (what the?) I said no way we paid everything on the bill and we were not going back and missing our ferry. he said "ok you just come back and pay 2 dollar US". I ended up saying i worked for a review site and he went quiet then said "oh ok.." and hung up. really weird. Also, pretty sure it was here we had our credit card stolen. ;(

The area is a bit off the main crowded places in Kuta. Plenty of resturants and shopping. 5 minute walk to the beach. resturant was good and the room large and comfortable. They have a pool as well. The staff was super too!

Casa Padma Suites is a very delightful hotel for families with children. We were picked up at the airport by Mr. Dewa Widi, and he gave us a nice ride to the hotel, pointing out attractions and advising us of the better restaurants. Upon arrival we were given fresh guava juice to enjoy while we filled out the hotel documentation.

We were then escorted to our room by a member of staff and told how all the equipment worked. The family room or super deluxe we reserved was fantastic. Two king beds, a separate sitting area with a sofa and two armchairs. There was also an area that was a coffee nook with a nice 4 person table and all the tea and coffee you could want.

The bathroom area was huge with a full closet and plenty of storage space, the bath itself had both a nice bath and a shower with a rainforest shower head. A hair dryer was also provided.

The staff were always smiling and helpful especially Mr Widi who even bought the Balinese fruit Salak or snake fruit to give to my wife once he found out she loved it.
Miss Agung at the front desk was fast efficient and always had a true Balinese smile on her face.

The hotel provided breakfast in Drops Restaurant daily and it was great. Eggs or Pancakes were cooked to order. The bacon was excellent and crispy, and not a drop of grease.

Casa Padma Suites was one of the most friendly hotels I have stayed in, and even though it was full it was quiet at all times. We had heard the Karaoke next door was loud and came equipped with earplugs, but never heard a noise one.

I would recommend this hotel to any family coming to Bali, as you can experience the real hospitably of the Balinese people. Its right next door to the Lokha which was a great disappointment when we had to stay there our last two night do to Casa Padma being fully booked.

The hotel is the epitome of a small lovely well run boutique hotel. Much of this is due to the attention given to the guests by the staff.

A big thumbs up and thank you from our family.

Stayed twice before and heading back there this Friday, cannot fault it...service, staff, cleanliness and location are spot on. Have stayed at bigger and more expensive places in the area but nothing beats this boutique style atmosphere, must for couples!

great location, situated in the centre of legian on padma st right oppisit legian pub, staff were very friendly and happy, room was quite largewith mordern vacilities such as a plasma tv with 60 progams split system air cond, and a modern bathroom, the only thing we didnt like was all the rooms above the ground floor didnt have a balcony, a small complex with not so many people made it a little more private, the pool was lge does have a swim up bar which is not so inviting as it could be. The restaurant is very cleanand great staff, breakfast was ok could do with a little more variety, only downside it is oppisite a couple of pubs that are open until 2pm and can be a little nosiy but didnt bother us still got pleanty of sleep, all i can say is really enjoyed our stay and would we stay there again most certainly....
