My husband and I stayed at the Bali Niksoma for our honeymoon and we thouroughly enjoyed it. The staff were brilliant, extremely friendly and very helpful. We decided to upgrade to a deluxe room which had a view of the ocean after initially checking into a standard room and not being overly happy with it. I would reccommend people stay in a deluxe. The pool is amazing! The breakfast was really good as well. The location is fnatastic, very close to Seminyak and a short walk to the markets at Legian so its really a great spot for anyone wanting to be in the action but still having that luxury.

Room Tip: Reccommend a deluxe room, you get a much better view.

A beautiful resort in a great location. Niksoma is one of a few properties in Legian that don't have traffic passing the resort on any side, so very little car and particularly motor bike noise. Eat your very good inclusive breakfast overlooking the ocean, or enjoy a $5 cocktail watching the sunset over the breaking surf. Truly a boutique hotel. Small enough that the amazing staff get to know you on first name terms.
An excellent restaurant for dinner, with often great live entertainment.
We thought the rooms were a bit plain for the price. Comfortable but nothing special.
One thing that really bugged us is the habit of some ignorant, selfish guests that lounge save with their pool towels at about 7am and turn up many hours later to claim their spot.
A resort of this calibre should not allow this to prevail. It's only a small hotel and lounges can be at a premium, but the "bogans" shouldn't be allowed to have their way.
Kuta beach front is being ruined by large ugly properties making Niksoma up the Legian end of the beach a better choice. Only a few dollars in a taxi to the craziness of Kuta, or the overpriced places " to be seen" in
In short Niksoma is an oasis of calm and style amongst the crud that is .
We will be back (especially if they act against the lounge savers)

I was staying on Sept 16 to 18 ,2011....three main reasons why It is a wow experience.

1.the best place to enjoy morning and sunset in Legian because it is not crowded like Kuta but get the direct access to the beach...

2.the best access to the "life" at the street where I can be still in touch with the people walking but in a tranquil way...

3.the best combination of Kuta and Seminyak atmosphere.Very close to all interesting places overthere.

I plan to stay for a week even two weeks in Niksoma...

I envy to many Australians and Japanese who have been doing it so far...

I have stayed at this property at least 6 times over the years and have loved it everytime - the staff are so friendly and accommodating - nothing is too much trouble for them. The property has gorgeous pools overlooking the beach with a lovely garden area. I love it because there are generally not alot of kids running around so the pool area is quite and relaxing - the food good, the staff excellent and the location perfect!
I recommend this property to friends, family and my travel colleagues - great for couples
