“Another Birthday at the Niksoma”
Reviewed 27 June 2012

Another great holiday at Bali Niksoma. Thank you to Mr Astama, Mul, Ika,Natalie, Wisnu, Agus, Pande,Janu, Ari, Minnie, to name but a few. The exceptional staff ensure your holiday is made very special. Young Wayan the new pool boy is so willing and is a great new asset to the team. I had another fabulous birthday dinner on the 6th June. Wishing you a great success with your new Hotel "The Magani" in Melasti Street . Website www.themagani.com I have personally visited the new property due to open in a few days and the rooms are large very well furnished and another Mozarella restaurant onsite .A great second option to Bali Niksoma. It is not ocean front but a 5 minute walk down Melasti Street with markets on the doorstep for all the Bali shopping! The entertainment at Bali Niksoma on Wednesday night is one of the best Bali bands although the Beatles on a Saturday night at Mozarella by the Sea have the diners up dancing the night away. This is a great hotel for first time Bali visitors. Guaranteed you will become a return guest. Location perfect staff excellent restaurants very reasonably priced and good food, lovely pool area and for a little extra deluxe, junior suites and suites are the way to go. Would highly recommend. Thank you Bali Niksoma!!

Room Tip: The Megani has special rates to December 2012. Check out the website! www.themagani.com.

We have just returned from a 9 night stay at the Niksoma. This resort is big enough to provide a range of excellent facilities but small enough to provide an intimate, personal feel. Yes, the rooms are getting tired but the gardens are beautiful and immaculately maintained and the pool area spacious, clean and relaxing with a wonderful view across to Legian Beach and it's passing parade. The word oasis is apt.

But the real stars of the show are the staff, from reception through to housekeeping, gardening and food and beverage. Each was amazing and special in there own right. Within a day we were known by name and cared for and treated as if we were part of their own family. This type of service is rare out side of the $1000 pernight Seminyak, Jimbaran or Uluwatu 'palaces and is reflective of a service and guess focussed culture obviously sponsored by a professional GM and owner.

Food at the resort restaurant Hitana and sister next door - Mozarella, was very good although we would have loved more Indonesian choices. 2 for 1 happy hour was a real winner and a great accompaniment to watching the sun set of an evening.

Even as we left the hotel for our flight home, with heavy hearts, the service continued with the General Manager opening our vehicles door and thanking us for staying and wishing us a safe trip....! Will we be back?...you bet. The extra cost is far outweighed by a 5 star experience that is down to the fabulous staff. So Mini, Agus, Jaya, Arik, Ketut, Wayan and all of the other names I've forgotten thanks for making a wonder ful memory for Roy and Libby...see you all again soon at Niksoma

Room Tip: We had a deluxe - Room 322 which had ocean views.

Began our Bali holiday at this lovely hotel-what a great start! Whilst our room was quite acceptable, everything else about this hotel was outstanding. We could not find fault with anything else about this establishment. Location, service, staff, restaurant and food, pool area was all fantastic.
We would not hesitate to recommend this hotel to anyone who appreciates a cut above the average Bali hotel-even our airport pick up was stylish. This place has soul and energy that is lacking in the oversize factory resorts. Two things that really stick in our mind-the pool and lounge/restaurant area is really spacious and open-plenty of pool lounges[!] and different areas to relax in. Secondly-we were invited to a complimentary cocktail party to meet the manager and the hotel really laid it on-we had a great night and partied on with some other guests.
Overall a great hotel and we plan to stay again on our next Bali holiday.

Room Tip: Upgrade to a better room if possible. There is construction going on[as there is everywhere in Bali...

Stayed here for 10 nights, and could not fault it. The staff were exceptional, the food brilliant, great pool and lounge areas, and above all a good size without hoards of fellow guests.

A nice hotel but you are really paying for the location. The rooms were clean and neat although not much different from the rooms at the All Seasons (an $80 a night hotel). The service was fantastic and the staff were wonderful. The location was great, right on the beach. The pool area was lovely, however, seemed a little unorganized- difficult to get a towel and order a beverage. We were initially placed in a room no less than 20 meters from a very noisy construction site, when we went to call reception to ask for a room change we found that the phone was broken. Once we were able to request for a room change though it was given to us immediately without question. I have stayed at the Padma before which is a hotel in a similar price range and found it much better value for money.

I stayed at the Niksoma for a week with my mum and will definetly be back. We stayed in a deluxe twin room. Great room with large flat screen tv and lovely bathroom. Very comfortable. The pool is great, two levels. It is a cool pool unlike some of the pools( aka. hot baths!) I have swum at in Bali before. Location is great on Legian beach. No cars in front of the hotel just a public walkway so you really feel like you are on the beach. It's an easy walk to restaurants and shopping. Only dissapointing was the buffet breakfast, quite small selection and not overly exciting, it was adequate though. I will note that the hotel restaurant,Hitani, is amazing and well worth stopping in for a meal (other than breakfast!). The staff are fabulous, very efficient and friendly. The Nksoma has the feel and facilities of a large resort while feeling very intimate and boutique. You won't be disappointed with a stay at the Niksoma!

This wonderful hotel has the BEST staff (so friendly yet professional),the BEST location (right on the beach and within walking distance of many fab resturants), the BEST rooms (set in a quiet lush garden) Ask the staff anything and they will go out of their way to assist! This hotel feels like our second home so we keep returning. The 'special' nights - including shows, live music, fine or casual dining and lovely cocktail parties make this a one stop hotel! You must go to the Beatles Night next door at Mahata (also owned by Niksoma) the group sound just like the old Beatles - on every Sat.The complimentary afternoon teas are served on Wed and Fri with fruit salad served around the 2 great pools every day. The 2 for 1 cocktails get my vote! We like to visit the air conditioned gym followed by a delightful breakfast on the deck overlooking the ocean. Then it's shopping/exploring/swimming in the surf (not too big!) or reading by the pool. We can't wait to return with our friends who also love the place!

Room Tip: We love the older superior rooms as they have more of a Balinese feel - the other rooms are newer an...
