A group of 9 of us stayed at The Lokha on 2 separate occasions in march .
We had 4 superior rooms.
During our 1st stay we were scattered all over the hotel , which didn't prove convenient , but upon checkout , we requested rooms altogether on our return .We were told it was Due to Having different room types ( doubles and twins ) as they are in certain areas of the hotel....... but the management worked wonders and got us all together for our return stay .
They done everything they could to make our stay a very pleasant one .
Previous reviews stated noisy .... we didn't hear any traffic, pool noise or music , the only thing we could hear was people coming home using the same corridor which was for less than a minute .
There was some trouble with the air-conditioning not being terribly cold in some of the rooms that we had , but it was ok for us .
The pool was nice and relaxing , although we thought prices at the pool bar where a bit rich .
The breakfast was fantastic and included in our price, much variety with coffee , juice , eggs any style , pancakes , sausages , bacon , fruit ect .
The rooms look like they could have a new paint job , as is the same with most hotels in Bali , the rooms where very clean , staff took the time to note your comings and goings to service the rooms , so not to disturb you .... something a lot of places don't worry about .
The security officer at the front was always willing to help you out , he pointed out the Laundry and car hire place to us when we needed them and was always willing to grab us a taxi .
Overall , we had a fantastic stay at the Lokha , so close to many great restaurants and loads of great shopping ( saves lugging the shopping a long way home ) .
I would definitely return to the Lokha for the price we paid it was good value ..... pity the price isn't the same in September ...apparently a local holiday time , which sees a considerable price increase , which will no doubt stop me from staying there then , but would have no hesitations in staying again in low season.

The Lokha is in a great location for anyone who likes to be right amongst the action. There are restaurants all around it and shops galore of many different styles & standards. The hotel itself is OK, although it could do with a bit of a spruce up. The rooms are a good size - the deluxe rooms in particular have heaps of room, including 2 queen beds plus a small lounge area and small verandah. The breakfast is of a good standard with a fair choice of food, though a little repetitive if you're staying for a while. The pool area is very nice, and very Balinese. The swim up bar wasn't manned when we were there. The areas in which the hotel is looking tired are mainly the hallways between rooms & the stair areas, with daggy colours and chipped tiles. Other than that we found it fine, the rooms aren't musty & the staff are quite friendly.

This hotel was advertised as a 4 star and it definately isn't that, more like 2.5 star. The hotel is very noisy not just from the busy road but also from the guests walking in the hallways. Everything echo's, you can hear it all. There are houses right next door on both sides and one of them has a rooster which wakes you up without fail at 5.30am each morning. There is no privacy both around the pool area or on your balcony. You feel as if your being watched in both places to which you generally are. The breakfasts are quite nice and the pool is clean, although quite small. This hotel suits someone on a small budget not too fussy about things, but if you want a quiet relaxing hotel stay elsewhere. On comparison, the ADI DHARMA hotel is much nicer for the same star rating.

I like this hotel, mostly because it don't pretend to be something it's not. It's a 2/3 star hotel, and that's exactly what it comes across as. It has cheap ( and quite good) food, and even the pool bar is reasonably priced.
Rooms are clean, and although the ones with the entrance facing Jl Padma can be noisy, it still comes out pretty good.
Breakfast is average, but adequate for most, and is generally served with a smile. The staff responds quickly to any requests, and are generally helpful.

A nice place to stay at a reasonable price.

We stayed at the Lokha for 7 nights after staing at Legian Paradiso Hotel, any hotel after stating there was going to be good but the Lokha was amazing. My partner & i were in the Super deluxe rooms, which are big in size which our bed was in the centre of the room. Bathrooms were quite large. The super deluxe rooms lead right out to the pool, at times got a bit noisey from people in the pool and swim up bar but never enough where we had to complain. Our friends were staying on the second floor in the standard room and even there room was quite nice and big, Great veiw looking over the pool.

Found even though hotel on a busy road ever heard too much noise.

Breakfast was lovely with a huge selection in the morning. Drink service was at times a bit slow didn't seem to have enough staff on at one time.

Would highly recommend this hotel for the quiter travellers with only 49 rooms it is just peacful enough.

We stayed at the Lokha for 8 nights and it was great ! Our room was on the 3rd floor overlooking the pool all the rooms have a good view of the pool, the restaurant was lovely really good breakfast and delicious room service especially after a long hot day shopping !! The staff were all very friendly and nothing was to much trouble. The location is great all the shops are near by and the beach is just down the road a 5 min walk at the most. The rooms the pool and the garden are well looked after, I liked it so much I am returning again just after Christmas !! I would recommend the LOKHA to anyone.
