Loved this hotel - the rooms were big with 2 queen size beds in each room. They were always thoroughly cleaned. Staff are really friendly and will do anything. There is a 24 hour bar (yes i know 24 hours) and the bbq on wednesday night around the pool is the best meal i ate in bali. Would definitely recommend this hotel. If there was one draw back it would be that the pool didn't get enough sun but nice small boutique hotel if that is what you are after. Also great massages around the pool - they have had great training.

We found this Hotel to be centrally located and within walking distance to shops, resturants, pubs, beach etc. The room was fine, clean and had all required. Of course if you are going to winge about needing an extra 10cm between the toilet and the toilet roll holder then I'm not sure any hotel in Bali would suit you! The service was good - sheets and towels replaced daily, new glasses in plastic bags, daily bottled water. The staff were very friendly , offering advice and directions to numerous places. We recieved a complementry drink when we dinned in the hotel resturant (because we asked!), all served with a laugh and smile. The pool was nice but we only swam in it once as we were out lots. Overall we really enjoyed the Hotel. If I was to pick any negative it would be the unfamiliar traffic noise as we were on the road side of the hotel on the second floor - nothing that a good pair of ear plugs didn't fix (the're great for noisy aircraft too!)

Hello. I stayed there in June 2009 and The Lokha was the first of 2 hotels we stayed at over 3 weeks. The location of the hotel is what i found to be the best once we were in our 2nd hotel. Everything is not too far, pubs, Indo national (superb), shops and the beach. The hotel it self may need a make over in certain areas but if that doesnt bother you too much, then you will love it. I found the beds to be very comfortable and the curtains would block the sun out completely. Yes there was a rooster towards the back but sometimes you dont notice it.
Would difinately go back compared to the Puri Raja.
Just a caution, there were afew too many stairs. Not good after a long day out or for those with bad knees/legs.
Staff very pleasant as well.

My husband and I and our friends have just returned home after spending 3 weeks in Bali of which we spent the last 6 days at the Lokha.
The location was very good and the super deluxe rooms were very nice.
Unfortunately we had sore stomachs for our whole 6 days. I don't know what caused it as we had already spent 2 weeks in Bali with no trouble whatsoever. We have been to Bali quite a few times and have never experienced any troubles of this sort either. I do know that our glasses were never replaced.
The worst part of our stay however was the other guests. They had no consideration for other guests. They were making noise and scraping chairs even at 4am. One day a young man was firing a BB gun into the swimming pool at his friends from the third story. There were other guests in the pool including small children. Security were aware of this situation and did nothing about it.
The pool bar seemed to play the same raucous music over and over as well.Several groups of guests ruined the atmosphere of the hotel. The staff didn't seem to be willing to do anything about these problems and we got very little sleep and did not feel comfortable around the hotel as a result.
