We stayed here in Oct. Having stayed in this area we knew our way around and was amazed to find this hotel tucked away alongside the Boomerang Bar.
From the moment we walked in we were treated like royalty by all the staff. Tony went out of his way to help out with our every need.
The girls at the tour counter did a great job at arranging our moped for us which was great to get to all our usual spots.
The hospitality here was faultless. Our room was great, the pool area and swim up bar was really nice, not huge but still not crowded.
Breakfast was all the usual suspects, continental, fried, fruits & cereals, freshly made eggs however you want them.
Would happily return.

Greetings from Baleka Resort Hotel & Spa at Legian , Kuta - Bali
Thank you for writing your feedback after experiencing your stay at Baleka. We just started to upgrade the resort and being not yet completed and will take a couple years to do that including the Lobby and another pool where the Temple is located. There some rooms need a priority to be upgraded and scheduled in the beginning of next year 2014.
We also very concern to upgrade our food quality, presentation and it facilities and employees professionalism as well. Once again, thank you for your comment which is very useful for us to make better and better both product and services itself to fulfilling the future customers perceive and expectation.

Hotel is good for the price. The service was amazing, staff is really friendly and willing to help. The style of the resort is Balinese courtyard, you really feel like your in Bali when you arrive with all of the trees and temple in the middle of the place.

I got a superior room which is showing it's age, but the room was very spacious and had a veranda type area where you can sit and keep things separate from the bedroom. The main two things I really didn't like was the bathroom was a bit old and grimy. Also the lighting was very dim in the room and bathroom.

I think the classic rooms might actually be newer than the superior rooms which in name, sound superior. It was only a $1 difference between the two when I booked.

Pool seems nice, long and narrow, and there were plenty of available chairs when I was there. Again, the chairs are a little old but have cushions.

Breakfast was included, simple choice of eggs, bacon, sausage, some breads and fruits. Don't expect too much, but certainly sufficient. If you're looking to eat outside, Bamboo Warung is delicious, super cheap, and you can find it walking straight out the main driveway about 100 m on your left.

Wifi worked fine, no issues there. I used the tour desk to rent a motorbike for 50,000 and you can buy petrol across the street for 7,000 per Absolut bottle.

Overall I loved the service and Balinese feel. I just think the superior rooms can be spruced up a bit, especially the small dingy bathroom.

Only stayed here on a friends recommendation and did not know where this place was but in arriving have realized I have walked past this place 100 times during my last 2 visits.
Upgraded to a Deluxe room near the pool on the ground floor and it has been great. Had a look at Superior rooms and they are just as nice. The staff are very friendly and are very helpful. A lot of reviews state 'no sun' but I sat around the pool from 10am - 3pm and was bathed in glorious sunshine!
Only here till tomorrow but wish I could have stayed longer but am moving to Seminyak to explore around there.
This hotel is fantastic and I will be back to stay here for a lot longer on my next trip to Bali

I have stayed at the Baleka 3 times over the last 6 years. (on girls trips and family ) This hotel was very sweet and family run years ago. Now they have renovated and expanded their hotel and it still feels very small and homely. The only problem for me was the pool as it is not that big and now there are many more rooms, so you can get overrun with kids. Otherwise, the location is great, breakfast amazing, including coffer, and staff have always felt like family. i will be back.

We split our time in bali between two hotels and thankfully we picked correctly for both.
The rooms were very clean and looked to be newly renovated, the staff were very helpfull even when our 2 year old vomited in our bed at midnight the staff were there within minutes to change the bedding and make sure we were taken care of.
Unfortunately due to a fresh tatto I was unable to use the swimming pool on our stay but it did look very inviting.
Breakfast at the restaurant was great as was the room service we ordered.
Would definately stay again!!!

I have been to Bali numerous times. The Baleka resort Hotel is one of the best hotel I have stayed in. The staff especially Toni were so helpful. It was my sisters first trip to Bali. And she had asthma really bad. We stayed on the third floor in a lovely room.but when my sisters condition got worse, Tony moved us to an older style balinese bungalow where we only had a few stairs. The only problem was the shower. But we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The pool is lovely. a great Breakfast in the restaurant. and the staff were so friendly.

Room Tip: Choose a room near the pool. Or second floor overlooking pool. These rooms are more modern.
