Nothing seems to be in order in this hotel. Run down hotel, filthy room, very dirty bathroom, very small beds with dirty linens, foul smell in the room with leaking wash basin. Very unsafe place with shady people and pimps roaming around; did not offered breakfast to us though it was complimentary as mentioned in the reservation voucher. We stayed there for a night only. Not at all recommended for a family accommodation.

They didn't get our online reservation on time, so they put us instead in a fan room (the only one left available). It was okay, I guess, because they did give us the difference from the original amount we paid for the nicer room, but their fan room was just so old and uninviting. The floor and about half of the wall was tiled using what seemed like big bathroom tiles, and although the linens were cleaned and changed everyday, they were so old, the white had turned into a yellowish/dark shade. Moving into the more expensive room the next day, we expected a bit more luxury, but although, yes, it was nicer, it still did not meet my expectations. Also, breakfast was bad with them just serving a piece of toast and tea/coffee. Their pool was okay though, and their beer cheaper than some convenient stores, so it's a nice place to load up/hang out. The staff was also quite ok. Some of them were likeable. Oh and btw, the WiFi is okay, but bring your own WiFi ready gadget, because they'll charge you if you use their computer.

Quiet expensive hotel in Kuta. Except the room which was clean, i cannot say anything positive about it.
Don't go there. You can find better

Firslty, do not listen to the doomsayers on here. You can just tell of what calibre person would complain about a hotel that is only charging $18-$28 per night for two including breakfast. Really! If you wish to complain then go and pay the $450/night rate at a 5 star hotel. I stayed there for 10 days and would highly recommend it for the price. I rented the $28 A/C room. It was old and you can see that by the staind tiles and so on, but who cares, it's Bali. It was also cleaned everyday with new linen. The room had all i needed i.e a bed, shower and A/C for the rest of the time i was out exploring. The staff were friendly, bar is open 24hrs, pool is great. Massage service is cheap($5.50/hr) and right at the pool. The meals were the best value i believe you can get in the world. Each plate costs about $2.20 and is really good, beers $1.50, water $0.30c. No one that i met complained. Location is great if you are looking to be in the heart of it all. Internet cafe, convenience store, scooter rental all in front of the hotel and some clothing markets just down the street. All the best on your travels.

This might have been a nicer place a few years ago but all the garden is being lost to putting up more rooms. It has got very shabby and is not cleaned and maintained lovingly the way one expects in Bali, which is one of its major charms. As an older person on a budget the thing I noticed most was no quiet places to just sit. The ambient noise of building work and traffic cant be helped but carousing kids in the pool at night can. The reception area is also dining room, bar and pool room so really stiflingly crowded. During a thunder storm a piece of building fell off down right next to me and none of the staff apologised or asked how I was.

First, the good: It's pretty cheap at $17 a night for a fan room, but if you're on a budget you may as well stay at a hostel or losmen (homestay) for a friendlier atmosphere. There's also a pool, which was always clean and was nice to relax in. The hotel arranges tours around the island (though, you can find cheaper) and Wayan the tour guide was very funny, friendly and helpful.
However, all that being said, it is not worth staying here. At first I had thought to myself "all those negative online reviews are wrong, this place isn't too bad," but I changed my opinion after staying here a few nights. What turned me off the most was the lack of hospitality, warmth and friendliness from all of the staff, from the front reception to the bartender, and then to the lady taking my breakfast order. No one smiled, and they all looked so sullen and displeased to have to help you with anything. Oh, and GROSS-- the bartender was openly coughing without covering his mouth while I was at the bar, even over the drinks he was mixing and while he was washing the dishes. After coughing something up, I even saw him spit into the dish washing sink. With the exception of Wayan the tour guide and maybe one other guy who said good morning, the staff here was not pleasant at all, and believe me-- all I did was smile and say thank you and speak what Indonesian I know. I was nice as nice can be with them, so it was not reciprocal.
This hotel also has a restaurant and bar. The mixed drinks are very watered down and weak, but cheap. I didn't really eat from the restaurant, but I heard it was okay. There is also a "free continental breakfast," but this consists of a fruit salad and 2 barely-toasted slices of white bread served with rancid butter and tasteless jam that may have just been smashed up old fruit. If you don't like this though, you can always order breakfast off the menu for a couple of bucks, but I suggest going up the street to Sandwich Corner for much better food and service. They also false-advertise: "24-hour room service," but the kitchen closes at 11 p.m.; "great Wi-Fi," but it only sometimes works; and a girl I met tried their "laundry service" but the woman told her that there is none and to go down the street.
I also had food poisoning the last night, so I was unfortunately perched over the toilet for a little while, and noticed that it had not been cleaned in quite some time. The sheets, at least 'seemed' clean, and I am hoping they were.
Overall, could have been worse, but would not return or recommend staying.

Me and my fiance stayed here for 2 nights, we are 23 and 26 years old, and we were on a budget. I was a little sceptical about going here having read some of the reviews, however I can honestly say that it was fine! I didn't get bit by a mozzie once! The rooms were basic, but clean. The location was fantastic - quiet but only 5 mins walk from the beach and the main strip. We experienced no noise at all, we slept soundly - even with just a fan. We stayed in a room for 180,000Rp per night which meant we only had a fan. It was fine. We looked at a room with A/C, which is 100,000Rp more...it wasn't worth it. The rooms was no better. The pool is nice, the bar area is nice, and very cheap too - its perfect for travellers on a low budget!
The hotel is very run down and the photos on the website are a little misleading - however, its clean, quiet, cheap and in a good location.
I will say that I thought the hotel staff could have been a bit friendlier, but having said that, if you smile at them they eventually warm to you.
Its not a romantic hotel, its not posh but if your looking for somewhere to stay as a base, and dont plan on spending an awful lot of time in your room, then this place is fine for you.
