As a result of missing our boat to the Gilis for 5min we had to stay here for one night.
They showed me the room first without aircon, then I book a room for 100'000Rp more but with aircon but this oneeven worse although she told me that the 2 rooms are identical...

Now some highlights of the bad experience: everyone - from the luggage boy, to the service restaurant boy up to the boss - tried to sell us tickets for 'good price' directly after we told them that we go to the gilis... Thats really annoying if you think you are away from all the boat selling people out there...
Then there was the pool: ants, broken stones & not cleaned...

They were still constructing.

I had to use a phone to call the hotel we couldn't check in tonight, but nobody told me that I have to pay 20'000Rp before they charged me afterwards...

When I waited on the phone I saw a women with some legs problem checking in. She booked a 'without' aircon room but they are all upstairs.. The receptionist not even tried to find a solution or just offer her the aircon upgrade that she doesn't need to walk stairs..

It was really disappointing.. Bad service, old rooms & no safe..

Stayed one night on my way to Gili Air. They did get me a fastboat ticket for 400, 000 return. There was very loud construction until 7 pm. No wifi although they swear up and down they It but I walked the whole property and none. Not worth the money.

This resort is nice and good value for money.

The best bit was that we bought our ferry tickets to Gili T through the front desk and they were only 200,000 each way when everywhere else was charging 600,000. This was for the fast boat and the service was great!

The pools are nice with one having a swim up bar. The attached restaurant is also really good.

The room was a good size but the air con was poor and it was boiling hot all night.

Away from it all. Can't understand why people cram themselves in Nusa Dua, Kuta or Sanur. Big, clean rooms, filling breakfast, fantastic location, simple and practical. Can't think of anything bad for this hotel. If you like to be away from all the typical tourist spots and yet have a chance to do day trips to explore the rest of the island, this is your spot. Amazing swimming and snorkeling, daytrips by boat also available from here.

I actually quite liked this place, and stayed here for over a week. My room was about 40 USD a night, and I thought it was decent value for that. That was a fan room, no a/c, but that was okay. The breakfast is adequate. The swimming pools are great, three to choose from, and there was almost never anybody but me using them. The staff were pretty nice overall. You can certainly find a cheaper place in Padangbai, but if you want a little more comfort, this place is definitely recommendable.

In the beginning, we had not had any plan yet to stay somewhere in Padang Bai, as we wanted to go to Nusa Penida as soon as the ferry possible to use. Unfortunately, we had missed the ship and had to find the nearest proper place to the port, to stay at night. After looking for the good ones, finally we found the Hotel Puri Rai in Jalan Silayukti. This beach front hotel's really great with the new buildings, three separated swimming pools and the diving/snorkeling services. This hotel also provided the tours to Lombok or Nusa Lembongan, where the most tourists came to have a wonderful visit. For more detail information, please click the hotel's official site: http://www.puriraihotel.com/ May you have a very nice holiday there! ;)

In october 2012 we stayed 16 days in the Puri Rai hotel in Padang Bai, Bali.
We had a just renovated room with airco on the 1st floor, and the room was very good. Plenty of room, nice/new bathroom, No balcony though.
Staff is very friendly. Our airco was broken one night, but was fixed right away. The breakfast is basic. Depending on how many guests or maybe time of year, the breakfast is "a la carte", which is then a small menuchoice, or a breakfast buffet, which basically is the same, but you can take more, if you are very hungry in the morning. So the first week we had the menu, after having arrived a lot of guests, we had the buffet. The breakfast buffet is better.
Next to the hotel is the restaurant "Puri Rai". I'am not sure if this is also owned by the same owner of the hotel, but since is it just next by, it's easy to go out and eat there. The food in the Puri Rai restaurant is excellent en price worthy. Highly recommended to eat there.
We loved to stay in the Puri Rai hotel and to eat in the Puri Rai restaurant.
