We stayed in Topiinn for 2 nights and right after the first night we regretted our choice. We had a double room with an enclosed bathroom. The rooms are very tiny and the matress is aweful. The mosquito nets are full of holes and don't fit the bed. The walls are only made of bamboo so that you can hear and feel your neighbour move in the bed in the next room. There is only a small fan in the room which makes the whole room very warm and uncomfortable. The enclosed toilet is only seperated by a small wall from the public toilet so that you hear everything from that bathroom. We hardly slep, we were exhausted and full of mosquito bites in the morning. Even if Topiinn charges not much it is still too much for what you get. I would never come again for an overnight.
The restaurant though is very good and it's a very nice place to relax.

We stayed here for one night to arrange a transfer to Lombok. The rooms are really small, but nicely decorated. Bathroom is fine with cold water shower. There is a mosquito net in the room. The staff helped us arranging tickets to Senggigi, which indeed turned out the lowest price we could get. The restaurant/cafe is a very nice place to relax, although the food is not good, except for the bakery:) we had to wait an hour for our breakfast pancake, not ideal if you have to catch a boat.

We stayed in Hotel Puri Rai for a few days and then wanted a cheaper place, this was it! The price was 1/3 the price and we honestly enjoyed it more than the expensive spot! Three of us shared a room for 15$ and we had two bunkbeds, although they offered a mattress on the floor as well. The bar and cafe downstairs were super fun and funky decor. The "Dorms" were cool beds out on the deck under mosquito nets with an amazing view of the sea. The barstaff were all great and friendly, one guy helped book ferry tickets through his brother's company "Mahi-Mahi", and this was by far the best boat we saw! All the food we tried was great; rendang, squid and various breakfast foods were all quick and cheap. Drinks were OK price but very weak... Stick to bottled beer or coolers so you know there is actually alcohol in them! Great friendly staff and a cool atmosphere/view of the sea! Can't beat it for the price!

Dorm is great and cheap but do not expect a comfortable and clean bed. Also the guy on the reception and the whole staff act like they have everything about tourists. I made another mistake by ordering a breakfast here. Oh god! An fried egg should take 40 mins... So good place for budget but do not expect more than you paid...

You could easily miss this place as it situated right down the end of the Padang Bai Strip Esplanade,Fantastic Food and Service and Great Atmosphere right on the beach ! :)
Not just for Back Packers, we didn't stay in the accommodation but the food is great and very nicely priced its a lot better than some other upmarket looking places in Padang Bai.
The outdoor movie nights in the rear garden are fantastic and the live music performers create a nice atmosphere while dining.Just be aware Padang Bai suffers frequent power outages so be prepared to eat under candle light as the generator takes a while to cut in although this is not a fault of the establishment was a little bit disappointed they ran out of some spirits and couldn't make our favourite cocktails but hey it is rural Bali :)

We took two grandchildren (11 and 16 years old) to the top floor (room #6) and were totally enchanted by the thatched roof, mat floor, and completely wide-openness of either end. Grandson (11) said, "It's like being in a treehouse!" And, it was an ocean view and ocean sound as well. The room also has a private lounge area and bathroom. The restaurant was the only place we ate: the food was delicious. We stayed three nights. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. Snorkeling on the Blue Lagoon (5 minutes walk away) was great. Decor is funky and brightly colored. It is a backpacker's hotel. Don't expect luxury. Do expect music, movies and lots of activity. Also, it has a 'resident' silversmith.

Room Tip: Room #6 is the entire top floor and great for a family.
