first class service and care. from the time you arrive to when you leave the staff are asking if you as a guest have everything you want, or if they can get or do anything more for you, and they mean it. They do not want any guest leaving without them having fulfilled your every need, making a stay with them an absolute pleasure.
The accommodations is spotless,in room, they provide hair dryers, free mineral water, in glass bottles as they are very eco friendly and pool towels around the pool.
We were half board and as we stayed for 10 days and tried our best to eat a different meal each evening, and we were never disappointed, again iced water is mineral water and can be drunk all over the resort when ever offered.
We took trips and did snorkelling with the hotel and again cannot sing there praises enough for the care they took looking after us, supplying drinks and refreshing towels for us, whilst out and about, and sarongs for the temple tour.
It was such a personal touch that every member of staff knew your name, making it a much more individual touch.
loved it, and have returned home and already looked the hotel group up to see where else they are.

We spent three days with four kids at the Alila and everyone had a great time. The service is wonderful and friendly, the food is interesting and varied. We particularly liked the tasting menus - having a breakfast tasting menu is a rare treat. The rooms are spare, but very comfortable. We had ground floor rooms that allowed easy access to the pool. It would be hard to find any faults.

Room Tip: Ground floor allows access to the pool

Alila Manggis had amazing food, beautiful grounds, and wonderful staff! We had a wonderful sea view and everyone was so lovely and accommodating. The only issue we had was that the room was smaller than other hotels we had been in and for two people who aren't a couple it did feel a little cramped in comparison. Having said that though- there is an amazing porch with a comfy daybed to relax and spread out and the hotel is kept really clean. Incredible pool and we were amazed at how beautifully they kept the grounds. For this price, you can't beat it! It's fantastic value!

We spent four days at Alila Manggis and it could not have been better. The place is spectacular and the staff was incredible. The food was also first rate. They helped us take a couple of excursions that should not be missed. There was on trek to a holy temple that was a hard climb but well worth the effort. The snorkeling at the Blue Lagoon was very nice with lots of fish.

A must place to spend some time in Bali.

Room Tip: There are nothing but good rooms.

This was the second Alila property we stayed in during our trip to Bali.
Our welcome at the hotel was typically Balinese, incredibly warm and friendly with complementary ginger tea which was thoroughly enjoyable in the afternoon heat.
Our room was a delux room with a wonderful outdoor area including a table and daybed where we spent most of our evenings listening to the sea.
The views from everywhere in the hotel are spectacular, with the hotel situated right beside the sea. There is not much of a beach during the day, but at low tide around dinner time there is a decent stretch. This is not a big issue as there are very few natural beaches on the East coast.
The activity program organised by the hotel is fantastic, there is truly something for everyone; we opted to go traditional Balinese fishing (with our catch being prepared by the kitchen for our dinner) and snorkeling. There are also walking and cycling tours, cookery classes and day trips to Ubud.

Unlike the Alila Ubud, breakfast is not unlimited, but the a la carte menu has plenty of variety and the portions are plentiful, with fresh fruit and home baked bread delivered to the table as soon as seated. We ate in the restaurant quite a lot as the menu had a great selection.

With a regular shuttle service to Manggis, you are close to many restaurants, bars and shops. Manggis is a small-ish town, but we enjoyed the change from the chaos of Ubud.

All of the staff are wonderful with everyone taking the time to know your name. We were made especially welcome by Suandi and Dana who were more than happy to answer any questions we had regarding Bali and the Balinese way of life.

Room Tip: Opt for a delux room as it has an outdoor seating area with day bed which catches the late afternoon...

An incredible resort - full of wonderful Balinese hospitality, a fabulous spa, wonderful pool area, stunning views over the sea, wonderful rooms with brilliant day beds to lounge on in the heat of the day and amazing food. I would go back in an instant.

Allthough the beach was not what we expected, the hotel was so great that we didn't mind. The rooms are nice with a balcony or terrasse, the pool area is big enough to have a certain privacy. And the restaurant was great, either beeakfast, lunch or dinner, we were so happy to be there. The area itself is maybe not the most interesting in Bali (compared to Ubud for exemple) allthough very nice. But they also have an Alila in Ubud if you want to travel around.
