“AWESOME!!!!!”
Reviewed 25 July 2014

We had never been to a Presidential Library before, but this was an amazing place to visit. We chose this over the home (run by the Natl Parks) because it was available (home tours are limited) and all home and personal info is also at the Library!

“Glad we stopped”
Reviewed 25 July 2014

It seemed like a million stoplights before we arrived at the Truman Library and Museum, but we were glad we stopped.

An imposing modern building high on a hill, it was a pleasant way to spend an afternoon and learn more about Harry S. Truman and his family. The museum was well organized with an easy flow and good spacing so people could spend time looking without feeling bunched up. It's nice to have a movie to see so that those who weren't alive when Truman was president could relate to him as a walking talking person.

We wished we had time to see the Truman home as well.

“Very informative”
Reviewed 23 July 2014

This is the first time we've visited a Presidential Library, but it was so close to where we were staying it seemed like a no-brainer to go. We had no idea what to expect, but it was very well laid out, and had very interesting and informative exhibits to help explain Truman's presidency to two people who weren't alive then. From history classes, of course we knew about Truman, but here we learned some things we didn't know, and came away with an appreciation of this mans life. Definately good value for the admission price, and I think Truman himself would be happy about that.

“2nd visit 45 years later”
Reviewed 23 July 2014

I enjoyed this months visit just as much as the first time I visited in 1969. The movie on Truman's life was informational and showed both strengths and weaknesses. A comprehensive review of the end of WW II and the tough decisions made by HST.

“Great Learning Experience”
Reviewed 20 July 2014

This is a great place to learn a little bit about World War II and the Cold War, and especially about the President behind the big decisions. It was awesome to learn about the life and legacy of President Truman. The displays, exhibits and movies were presented in such a way that it was understandable and very interesting for both adults and kids.
