This hotel was previously an Econolodge. I believe they are trying to remodel the hotel. The lobby is a prime example with nice carpet and counters but old tables.
I will start with the bad. I reserved a queen room but it was very tiny. I suggest only a single person reserve the room this size. The carpet was old and worn. The outside door had a big worn spot hole in it. The room had a fresh paint job but lots of places were not covered. You can also see daylight around the door. The shower curtain needed to be washed or replaced. The room also did not have a clock.
Now the good. The furnishings seemed new. There was a flat screen tv, fridge, and coffee maker. The bed was extremely comfortable. The room felt clean even with the carpet needing replaced.
The breakfast was so so but included waffles, muffins, sausage, and biscuits and gravy. Coffee and juice were good.
The hotel is close to Adair ball fields, Krispie Kream donuts, and Kauffman Stadium.
I plan on staying again but will be requesting the back side of the hotel away from the Interstate. Also away from the walkway were cigarette smoke made its way into our room were people would stand to smoke or put out their cigarettes. More
