Stunning location and impeccable service, and they are doing some great deals on what is a luxury resort. The food is memorably cooked by a leading bali chef yet without some of the Bali unpretentiousness. Cannot wait to go back....

-Pro:Fantastic experience in this amazing, luxurious hotel -The extra large Princess suite is absolutely unbelievable in terms of luxury, space, comfort with all the amenities, and open bar and magnificent view of the UBUD jungle. - The included breakfast is absolutely delicious (a real 5 Star gourmet meal) - Dinner ,expertly prepared by a real multi- awarded chef, is each time a masterpiece !!!! - Free shuttle 3 times a day to UBUD downtown and a short walking to Monkey Forest -The staff is always smiling and so kind. -Stone Sculptures are absolutely grandiose and unbelievable.
Stop comparing. Book this hotel in UBUD. You will not regret !

- Con: Impossibility to give 6 out of 5( instead of 5/5)!!!!

Room Tip: Book the Princess suite

From the time we arrived until the day we left this was a remarkable experience
The location is some 20/30 minutes out of Ubud in the area/town called Begawan
It sits high over a hugely dense jungle valley with the view of the Ayung River running way below it The noise of the insects the river the monkeys gives to feeling of nature at its best
The staff can make or break any establishment here they truely are a credit they are well trained and with Mr Frits the very hands on General Manager working alongside them
The accommodation we were in Sita was very very nice large bathroom quality towels nice linen comfy bed choice of two types of pillow The bedroom is very large with a covered deck overlooking the jungle back drop There is a free mini bar of soft drinks which is topped up daily
an actual Cappacino machine pod type with milk frother I was in heaven
There is also a safe in the room and a lockable cupboard
The swimming pool is large and infinity that just drops into the jungle There is an area for small children
Now the important thing the food the only word to descibe this is Stunning
Breakfast was included and I belive that is so for all
An A la carte menu had me scratching the grey matter No need The choice is amazing you just order what you want and as much as you need
From the fruit platter the fresh juice selection the Bakery selection the amazing fruit compot
The cooked offering presentation is great the portion size not large but after you have indulged in the above i was full as a bull however if you still need more food order it
Being Ubud is a 20/30 minute drive I was hoping the dinner menu was going to be good Silly me It was amazing We ate here everynite the presentation the service and the quality of the food the flavours The Ginger chicken, The Barramundi, the ayum betutu, chicken kare, baby red snapper, and the amazing tukad ayung Then there was the fabulous pandang creme brulee
A great selection of wines from Australia New Zealand Italy France and pricing to suit most wallets
I have to say this was a great place to stay and relax

Extremely luxurious, incredibly scenic, high cleanliness and exceptional food and service.

Only annoyance here were the bugs. But can't complain about nature when staying in the jungle!

Would strongly recommend this resort to anyone looking for a relaxing retreat.

My fiancee and I spent 5 days at this fine albeit hard-to-locate resort which sits within a village with narrow 1-laner drive-way that vehicles ply both ways! Foreign drivers are advised to take note of the GPS coordinates of the resort in advance as the Ayung Ubud cannot be found in Garmin GPS system. Location aside, the hospitality was excellence. In our bid to figure out the way to the resort, the concierge staff (Ms Nurdani who speaks comprehensible English) was able to render directional assistance in a reassuring manner. Upon arrival (at 9-ish pm), Ms Nurdani came out to the drive-way to welcome us! Our less-than pleasant navigational experience was compensated by the luxurious Princess suite that we were ushered to (on a buggy). We were briefed by the bellhop on our suite that comes with the following:

1. generous balcony facing the natural green
2. grand handcarved-wooden king-sized post bed
3. capacious washroom big enough that allows a couple to wash up simultaneously
4. handsome dining area for 6 guests
5. comfortable living room that comes with surround sound system & a large flat screen TV
6. pantry cabinet that comes with:
i. coffee maker that comes with a selection of coffee capsules (decaf too) / Dilmah Tea
ii. milk heater/frother
iii. Fridge filled with complimentary beverages (Bintang Beer, Ovaltine to milk) & Toblerone
iv. Water Kettle and drinking water
7. Study area
8. Good sized Wardobe with brolly, shopping basket, hardy-bedroom slippers

The well-appointed Wijaya Kusuma Restaurant that served sumptuous meals. Ms Ari greeted us each time we were there by our last name and all waiting staff delivered top-notch service.
In addition, the well-furnished dining establishment comes with unparalleled ambience despite it's not air-conditioned. Guests could choose to have their breakfast in the comfort of their own rooms too!

While this compliment can go on and on, in the nutshell, visit this resort - one of luxury and excellence service that will exceed one's expectation.

Stayed during our honeymoon. Fantastic place. Restaurant is great with amazing rainforest view. Shuttle service is useful but last shuttle is relatively early (I suspect this is to get you to eat at the hotel).
Lots of nice touches- free soft drinks in minibar, free afternoon tea, little sweets left in your room in the evening. Good inifity pool and a decent gym. Didn't use the spa as it was very expensive and so many great cheaper options in central Ubud.

A resort where you never ever want to leave. We were lucky enough to stay in a self-contained villa. It was enormous and had it’s own swimming pool. The outlook over the rainforest was spectacular. One morning we even had curious monkeys sitting on our verandah.
My only moan and the management need to know... there are open sewage drains crossing the paths and the smell is horrid. They need to be covered. Where is this smelly water going anyway? Hopefully not into the river below where people go rafting.
Chauffeured golf buggies take you from your room and up and down the hills to get to breakfast and reception. Breakfast was one of the best you could get anywhere in the world. Complimentary afternoon tea and delights is a lovely touch too.
Morning yoga is on offer as well as a very well equipped Fitness Centre.
Although the spa is pricier then you’d pay in Ubud, the location, staff and treatments are well worth the price.
