Stayed 3 nights at Kubuko Ecolodge in late April. It was very easy to organize diving as they have their own shop. I went diving for 2 days. On the second day we shared our boat with another local dive operator. It was easy to see that the Kubuku Dive center gave extra attention to detail and took better care of the equipment than the other company, so I can recommend them easily. Breakfasts at the hotel were good and so were the packed lunches for the dives which impressed me. The resort owner Gede (pronounced Gi-Day) was very helpful and informative. I will definitely be back again. Someone else wrote about the ants, but I can say I only saw a few, and less than the villa we stayed in at Nusa Dua. The only concern I had was the wifi in the rooms was iffy, but it was fine at the restaurant and there is a computer for use at the lobby, so you are always "connected" if you need to be.

We just stayed four nights and it was wonderful. The room (deluxe) was large, clean, great outdoor shower, super comfy bed, two waters everyday, stocked mini fridge, and lovely patio. The pool was gorgeous and clean, the resto served typical and tasty breakfast. We ate a few lunches and dinners as well. They were all very well prepared and beautifully served in the lovely setting. Gede was most welcoming and arranged for our snorkeling equipment and tour, motorbike, massages and excellent recommendations for any questions we had. The entire staff was very friendly and accommodating. While not on the beach, the close access was just right. We highly recommend this lovely accommodations and restaurant.

Room Tip: A/C a must!

Dear Miss Yi Qian C

Thank you very much for your kindly review, and we are apologize that we couldnt made you satisfied during your stay with us
actually we did upgrade your room from Standard fan to Superior Air condition, but it wasnt enough to made you happy.
Red ant are still surrounding bali special while we are in the village, because we didnt spray them with poison which is not eco friendly, but we always try to clean it everyday

thank you
best wishes from Bali

The owner Gede Sentana upgraded us to a nicer room because our room was not available upon arrival. The air con worked well and the outdoor shower was nice. The pool is clean and the owner and his kids played in it a few afternoons when guests were not using it. The afternoon tea and snack were nice surprise. They even brought ginger for my friend's sore throat. The staff is friendly and makes you feel at home. The owner let us store our dive gear while we took a week long trip to Ijen and Bromo. The dive shop was helpful when we wanted to dive Secret Bay and Menjangan Island.

We spent two nights at this ecolodge and were very pleased with the comfort and pleasantness of the place. The rooms are located around a beautiful garden, the pool is large and very clean, the restaurant has good food (even though the service is slooooooooow) and the staff is among the most friendly I have encountered in Bali. Every member of staff we met was all smiles and willingness to help us out with any request. So special! The rooms are a little characterless, but very comfortable (king size bed) and clean. The lodge is located just across the main road in Pemuteran, so it's really only a 5 minute walk from the beach. The beach, however, is pretty sad looking and also dirty, and Pemuteran itself has nothing to offer. So unless you come here for diving or snorkeling, there is really no reason to visit. I would just like to say once again that the kindness of the staff made our stay extremely pleasant and they all deserve a big "Thank you"!!!!!!
