Overall our two night stay was peaceful and we loved the pool - thank you to the staff for looking after us. There are a few things to improve here though in the future to make this a high quality hotel.

Positives:
- very friendly staff
- beautiful gardens with dragonflies, bats and frogs visiting every now and then
- lovely pool which we had to ourselves all three days of our stay as it was apparently low season (mid April)
- peaceful and quiet, set back from the road
- flowers in the room and welcome drink were very nice
- outside shower and toilet was nice and clean and light and it was quite hot so not a problem to not have hot water

Points to improve:
- the high standard of decor outside was unfortunately not matched in our room (we had a standard room so can't speak for the others). It was badly lit so we could hardly see anything with all the lights on. Despite the lighting we could see the dirty walls which desperately need a lick of paint (or perhaps it is damp which is a bigger problem?)
- the hotel arranged a snorkle trip for us to Menjangen island. Overall we really loved the snorkelling but the guide we had from one of the local dive companies was really not very informative or passionate about the oceans. If we came back we would organise our own tour and take the time to find a better guide
- I would recommend avoiding the spa as it is right on the road which is really really noisy as trucks hurtle past at high speed
- the location was quite a short walk to the beach but the section of beach closest is a really dirty part with a local sewer running in to the water. It was quite horrible and off putting. When we went back to the beach we took a longer route to avoid this but it meant we had to walk along the really busy road for longer

Staying in Adi Assri Resort we had dinner in the restaurant "Man's" some 100 meter down the main road. Not easy to find but once you're inside it looks very nice. Food however misses taste and flavour and was not as expected. Staff very nice (as almost everywhere in Bali!).

We've had the best time in Pemuteran at Man's Cottages. Thank You for the warm welcome and Your kindness. The staff was always so attentive, polite and amicable. It was a pleasure meeting all of You!
The accommodation was top-notch... especially the bathroom outside of the room. (So that you've heard the geckos and birds while showering.)
Last but not least we have to commend the food served at Man's Cottages. They offer a varied bunch of delicate dishes. You can choose between balinese food and european food. And we have to admit that Man's Carbonara tastes as good as the italian version of it.
Thank You for everything and till next time!

We enjoyed the good and nicely arranged food with many choice for me as a vegetarian.
It is far away from the noisy mainroad
The staff is so kind and makes you feel wellcome. We returned and had our food there all 6 days of our stay in Pemuteran in January 2017 and another stay with our granchild in October 2016

Apart from the staff, this hotel is not what to expect. The have a beautiful layout of the rooms, no where stated that the standard rooms does not have hot water. When you shower the entire toilet gets wet since it's outside the room. First room, toilet clogged, second room the sink cap was on and was clogged, couldn't deal with this and upgraded to room with hot water. Needed to sleep for night trip and woke up with my left eye swollen and red, thought nothing of it until the next night I slept and both my eyes reacted to I'm guessing the netting in the room which smells dusty. If you're not ready to get bitten by mosquitoes while outside using the shower or putting on makeup and also running from frogs to your room, I suggest a no to this place. Again the staff is very nice, but the hotel was not what was expected.

Thanks for the reviews that have been made to our hotel to be better in the future
Herewith, we would like to explain about issues that what actually happened:
1. Hot Water on Standard rooms - on online booking we has explained that for the standard rooms the shower without hot water but why you still booking on standard rooms is not at deluxe or super deluxe, all our rooms facility is outside shower, so normal if there is water a bit in the floor and toilet.
2. Toilet clogged - before check in guest our staff have prepared and checked all the facilities that are ready for use and we’ve put the information is DO NOT THROW PAPER TOWELS IN TOILET, but you still put and wasting a lot of toilet paper, so become toilets is clogged.
3. The sink was clogged - actually everything is Ok, but you don't know how to use it.
Each sink/washstand can be opened and closed, the water can't get out as you say because the sink cap still closed, however our staff has been fix that problem. After the incident you want to upgrade to a deluxe room and we already do it, but you still make trouble again where red-eye disease that you are suffering is a result of the net in the room which smells dusty
Regarding your illness could be the result of volcanic dust when you are traveling to Ijen, or may be in direct contact with a person affected by eye diseases, So it was impossible at all if the disease is from our hotel, the rooms were recently occupied by other people and they leave with healthy without sore red eyes.

Thank you very much
