“A must visit if you are in Pemuteran”

We went diving and snorkeling here and it is just beautiful and unique. There were lots of fishes and corals as well as you get to see the effort they put in to conserve the corals. You can even sponsor a baby coral and have your name welded to grow the corals on. Talk about contributing for a good cause! Highly recommended!

I like snorkelling and not so much diving, so this was a great place to see some beautiful corals. The colours were amazing and although the fish were still quite small there, there were so many kinds and a lot of them. Really worth going there for some snorkelling.

No words can describe this experience. You just have to see this reef for yourself. So get yourself some goggles and a snorkel and go swim! only a couple of meters off Taman Sari Beach in Pemuteran Bay - How easy is that?

This is a wonderful approach to restoration of damaged coral reefs. The technology speeds restoration eight-fold over natural growth. The adjacent dive shop gives talks about how it works. Snorkelers have a safe entry and, provided the sea is calm, good visibility of the shallow reefs that are only about 30 m from the shore. Unfortunately my diving days are over but, from the photographs, there are some spectacular restorations also in deeper water.

Close to the shore right next to Pondok Sari the metal scaffolds are to a great extend already overgrown by hard and soft corals, providing a great opportunity for snorkeling since the depth is maybe 1,5 - 4 meters. While we saw batfish, groupers, a needlefish amongst the usual reef fish, fellow travellers told of a turtle and a moray to be seen there.
The area is roughly as big as a football field and sure great for kids and/ or other people to see reef live without wanting to dive.
