A friend I I recently played a round at Nirwana and loved it.
We expected a lot being rated in the top 100 courses in the world and it didn't disappoint. The layout is challenging but not impossible for social players - most players will find the course very playable although it does punish really bad shots (tough to hit out of the rice and even harder from in the ocean!). I found the greens challenging but fair and overall the condition of the course was excellent.
The scenery was brilliant, particularly the holes that are along the ocean. The caddies also make the experience a lot of fun. All our caddies were lots of fun and they certainly offer some good tips to help your score, particularly on the greens.
The clubhouse facilities were very good for a cold shower after the round along with some lunch and a couple of bintangs to wash it all down.
Whilst it is expensive to play here, you are paying for more than just the course. The entire experience was fantastic and I can highly recommend it to anyone who really loves their golf and has some time to spare in Bali.
