“Perfect hotel for golfers, honeymooners and anyone to chill”
Reviewed 21 May 2012

Hotel was newly renovated & everything are good, except for the room interior that "lost" its previous Balinese touch.

The hotel is located near the Tanah Lot temple, surrounded by golf course. There's really nothing else in the surroundings but rice fields and villages.
Breakfast was good, also had lunch and some midnight drinks and they're all great.

The only problem is that its far from the airport & the crowd (if you're looking for any), other than that it was a perfect stay although I'm not a golfer nor honeymooner.

Dear IndoHotelTraveler,

Thank you for sharing your experience with us on TripAdvisor. We appreciate you choosing to stay with Pan Pacific while in Bali although I am sorry to hear you missed some of the traditional Balinese touches you have grown to enjoy here in Nirwana.

We are particularly proud of our comfortable setting free of pollution and enhanced by the sound of ocean surf, rice fields and villages. Sometimes our location is underrated but it really has a distinct appeal to guests enjoying their sunsets, quiet time and tranquil relaxation in this spectacular natural setting.

We are 60 minutes from Nusa Dua, Ubud and Kuta and provide air conditioned shuttles several times each day for our guest convenience. Many guests enjoy our shuttles to the beaches, restaurants and boutique shopping in popular Seminyak only 30 minutes away.

We look forward to welcoming you again at the Pan Pacific Nirwana Bali Golf & Spa.

Best regards,

We stayed one night at Pan Pacific Nirwana Resort to review for our wedding. As soon as you walk into the lobby, the view takes your breath away. We knew as soon as we saw it, we knew this would be where we would get married. The room was incredible and the service second to none. Only a short walk to the tanah lot temples and some amazing photo opportunities on the way. The price for food is the same as what you would pay in Australia but better service and the incredible view makes it all worth it. The pools were fantastic and we could have spent hours!! If any one is looking for a wedding venue in Bali, I really recommend this resort. The price is extrememly reasonable and you get a wedding planner who does everything down to the last flower placement. No anxiety about anything on our wedding day...now what bride gets to say that?! There are free pick ups and drop offs from the resort to places like Discovery Shopping Centre in Kuta so even though its a little more out of the way, there are ways around it.

I took my father in law for his 70th birthday here with the family, and it could'nt have been a better choice. It's got it's own golf course in a dramatic setting, next to the ocean and the Tanah Lot temple - which is an attraction by itself. The staff were fabulous. The villas were a good choice right along the golf course. The spa was very good, and of course plenty of golf on a beautiful course. Bali has a lot of fantastic hotels but few have their own golf course - and what a course!

Well done, Pan Pacific! Firstly, congrats to fine training of your staff - efficient and thoughtful service and always with a smile.

At first I was a bit apprehensive as this is a large resort and has been around for like 18 years (I think). It was previously Le Meridien and then Pan Pacific bought it. I usually go for newer hotels but Pan Pacific did a great job on renovations and cleanliness and preserving the Balinese charm of the resort. We took a 4 nights 5 days golf package with an upgrade to Pacific Club access. We asked for a renovated room with ocean view and the room did not disappoint as it faced the ocean and also overlooked the pools. As we were afraid of noise, we were on the 5th floor (highest floor) but I found out that May was beginning of low season, so there wasn't much noise from the pool. The swimming pools (4 of them) are lovely with a few in- built jacuzzi.and the pool attendants are very good - they will place towel and a cold bottle of water by your table when they see you have chosen your sunning deck. The hotel grounds are fantastic - the greenest and softest grass ever with views so stunning you have to see for yourself. We golfed for 3 days and despite the hot weather, we thoroughly enjoyed it. The course is quite busy, so booking tee time in advance is important. I have little complaints about the food, as in most resorts , sometimes food selection may not be sufficient esp if you are there for a number of days. However, I found out the the room service menu have a number of food items not in the menu of the other hotel restaurants. I asked Merico's waiters whether I can order from the room service menu and eat in Merico and that was allowed. Also, I noticed that the golfer's terrace serve a good selection of local food at a much lower price too. So, food choice was not a big problem for us.

If you like drinks before dinner and afternoon tea or light lunches like salad, upgrading to Pan Pacific club access is suggested. The club premise is very nice and the staff are friendly too.

All in all, a fantastic place to stay. Some suggestions which I hope the management can consider:-
1. Since you have such beautiful grounds, how about arranging outdoor yoga or stretch classes around 5 pm when it is not so hot.
2. I note that whilst the room I stayed in was renovated, the bathroom I think is not renovated. The bathroom is clean and good. The shower area could do with a fresh whitening of the bottom edges as there is some yellowing at the edges.
3. You can consider extending the selection of library books and dvds for lending. The current books and dvds are quite limited.
4. There were only 2 computers for use in the library and I think that's rather few in such a large resort.
5. The lifts in the resort need airing. They have a strong air freshener /deodorant smell and I think some natural fresh air smell would be better.

Room Tip: If possible, get a Pacific club upgrade and renovated room.

We stayed at the PP Nirwana resort for 3 nights on our holiday. Without question, the resort grounds, pools and views are absolutely breathtaking. The room (family room with bunks) was also very well appointed with very modern flat screen and blu-ray DVD coupled with a Wii to keep the kids entertained.

The food was pricey for what it was and wine menu was abmismal for a resort of this standard. Whilst the resort has many kid friendly facility's, kids club etc...we felt that it is a resort for kids to be seen and not heard, which did not lend itself to a complete relaxation on our part.

I did not get the opportunity to play a round of golf and am very dissapointed as the couple of holes I saw were again breathtaking.

If you are the type who like to leave the resort and pop out for a meal or shoping this not the most practical as restaurants and shops are generally speaking 45-60 mins drive away - though, fortunately that is only $15-20 AUD round trip in a meter taxi.

Dear TheScooter17,

Thank you for sharing your 3-nights holiday experience with us on TripAdvisor. We appreciate your recognition of our grounds, pool, breathtaking views and, family room with its friendly facilities.

Merica and TLC offer affordable dining options breakfast, lunch and dinner. Merica hosts our bountiful breakfast buffet every day and offers a more fine dining option for lunch and dinner, with Indonesian and International dishes. TLC offers healthy shakes and drinks, specialty coffees, fresh deli sandwiches all day and transforms into a romantic dinner venue with wine and tapas at night. Our goal is to offer value for price so thank you for sharing your opinion with us.

We like to say our resort is a private pristine sanctuary, which gives our guests the chance to be surrounded by culture, authentic character and natural beauty. We are 60 minutes from Nusa Dua, Ubud and Kuta and 30 minutes from Seminyak. For this reason, we provide air conditioned shuttles several times each day for our guest convenience. Many guests enjoy our shuttles to the beaches, restaurants and boutique shopping and come happily back to the serenity of the resort at the end of a busy day. We are improving our activities programing to make sure you can enjoy a multitude of opportunities without having to travel.

Thank you for sharing your experience with us, hope you could enjoy our Golf course in the near future and we look forward to welcoming you and your family again soon and often.

I went to do the spa and nail treatment at the pan pacific hotel. I expected to pay a fair high price in any resorts in Bali. Spa staff are very friendly, but the quality of the treatment is average. I am very disappointing especially with my manicure, I paid 20 dollars for 30 minutes treatment with a very limited choice of Colors and my color was painted everywhere on the edge of my nails , I think the staff should be properly trained.

We booked in for the 3 night golf package, and weren't entirely happy with the first room we were shown (an ocean view suite). So we ended up upgrading to a ocean villa with pacific club perks thrown in and did not regret it one bit, despite the hefty price tag.
This is the large resort experience where there are several restaurants, extensive pools, organised activities and entertainment. But unique to it is of course golf course and the stunning, dramatic setting by the ocean, definitely do take the time to go around and soak it in even if you just ride in the caddy car. We did venture over to the actual Tanah Lot temple once but found it to be overrun by tourists and hawkers (you get a much better view from the resort anyway).
The best meal we had on this trip was here, a room service meal which was the most freshest mud crab in a panang curry - anyone who has mud crab before know that it is not an elegant thing, so being able to devour the meal in privacy added to the enjoyment.
Although the resort was only half full, the golf course was very busy - so much so that I would recommend you book your preferred tee off time well in advance.

Room Tip: Villa 703 - pricey but well worth it! Rate the golfers drive off the 13th hole as you have breakfast...
