“Beautiful hotel in stunning location”
Reviewed 6 September 2013

I stayed at the Nirwana Resort during a conference, and was very impressed by the hotel's beautifully appointed grounds, the amazing swimming pool area, and the overall friendliness of the staff. I stayed in a garden view room, close to the pools, and the room was fully equipped with everything I might have needed. It was very comfortable, offering enough space to set up a little office away from home. Their free wifi worked well and was sufficiently fast.
I had breakfast and lunch at their Merica restaurant, which offers a good mix of Asian and Western-style dishes. Once I dined at their TLC restaurant, which serves nice tapas. Also, it's only a short walk across the golf course to some local restaurants above the Tanah Lot temple, which offer local dishes at a much cheaper rate than the hotel - just remember to put on bug repellent before you sit outside in the evenings for an extended amount of time.
The only gripe I have is with the quality of the room service food. I found that to be a little sub-standard for a 5 star hotel, and especially for the rather high room service prices. The staff was great, but the food could have been better.
I had a traditional Balinese massage at their spa, which was divine. The spa is very generously laid out and simply designed, which makes it feel quite serene. I went in the evening, and was basically the only person there, which was very relaxing.
Since I was there for business I didn't make as much use of the pool facilities as I would've liked - because they're awesome! Four different pools at different levels, some connected through water slides and lots of comfortable lounging spaces make it a great place to just relax for a few hours with a book.
Overall, I had a great time at the hotel, and their conferencing facilities were also very good. They served very interesting and delicious tea treats during our breaks. I highly recommend this hotel if you aren't too concerned about your budget, and just want to stay in a beautiful, luxurious place.

Nice hotel but a little bit out of the way. Rooms are spread out so we had quite a bit of a walk to the pool and breakfast area. Great place to stay for a couple of nights but i think any longer and you would find the remoteness annoying. i like to get cheap massages and couldn't find any locally apart from the resort. Tanah Lot is on your door step and has a lovely sunset. Local market are average and not many dining options apart from the hotel. most activities during the day had a cost involved. the pool area was great. don't forget to take insect repellant as there are a lot of midges on dusk.disappointed that the hotel told us it would only take 1 hour to get to the airport on a Saturday night when in fact it took 3 hours! We didn't get the hotel car as it was cheaper IDR250000 to get the local taxi Company. The hotel wanted to charge $37 USD. They have a free shuttle to Kuta daily. Golf was amazing and as a hotel guest you get a discounted rate $120 instead of nearly $200 for non-guests, so well worth the trip out there.

Dear Pan Pacific Guest,

Thank you for staying with us at Pan Pacific Nirwana Resort in Bali and sharing your experience with us on Trip Advisor. We value your time and energy since our guests' perspective is very important to us and so is your constructive feedback, for our team as well as for readers and visitors from all around the world alike.

First of all, I would like to apologize for all the major inconveniences you faced during your stay with us; it is with deep regret that we have acknowledged your comments about the resort location, wrong time predictions and its facilities and on behalf of our team, please accept our most sincere apologies about your disappointing experiences.

Actually, whilst it is true that our resort is slightly remote and away from the ‘hustle and bustle’ of Seminyak, it has to be mentioned that it is specifically the tranquil and peaceful appeal of our resort which attracts most of our guests and keep on driving our regular visitors back to Tanah Lot. The magic and mystical character of this integrated resort, along with the friendly and heartfelt approach of our associates, is certainly the most sought-after charm of the western coast of Bali. Nevertheless, we do provide Free Shuttle services daily to Seminyak and Kuta for our guest who wants to experiences the touristic area.

With regards to the journey from Resort to Airport, it should honestly not take more than 1 -1:30 minutes at night time, and during peak hours it could take up to 2 hours and during special occasions, for instance, Balinese ceremonial events and other local celebrations, traffic could be congested in certain areas.

Once again, thank you for sharing your point of view with our readers, please accept our sincere apologies for the inconveniences during your stay and hope we will have an opportunity to welcome you back very soon to Pan Pacific Nirwana Bali Resort on your next visit to Bali.

With kind regards
Ivan Casadevall

We have just returned from three days relaxing and participating in the 2nd Nirwana Golf Challenge and cannot say enough about how wonderful the staff were, how beautiful and well kept the hotel and grounds were. From the moment you enter the grounds to the greetings, the breakfasts, the restaurant meals, the enormous pool and slides, to the well appointed rooms and facilities it had everything to suggest you were in for a truly memorable few days and we were not disappointed. Our only complaints, and they were minor were we were supposed to check in to our rooms at 2pm but didn't get a room till an hour or so after. However, to be fair to the hotel they had a few functions, including the Nirwana Cup and a Miss World Competition all happening at the same time making demands on staff a little higher than normal. Also, as the hotel is a considerable way away from all main centres there are very few options to consider for outside eating. Having said that, a small walk away, along the cliff face toward the Tanalot Temple the walk way opens up onto a street of markets not unlike Kuta only no one is trying to hard sell or entice you into buying allowing to enjoy some of the old Bali charm at your own leisure.

Loved our stay and we will certainly be back next year for the 3rd Nirwana Challenge only this time we will be up earlier to enjoy the facilities more and will be encouraging a number of other friends and golfers join us too...... Oh, and if you are golfer and have not played this course your could be fair to say you could be missing out on something special....

Room Tip: If like ocean views request a room on the upper floors and preferably the Golfview wing. However, if...

First of all, thank you for choosing the Pan Pacific Nirwana Bali Resort and participating in our annual Golf Tournament “Nirwana Cup”. Also great to know that you enjoyed our beautiful resort, restaurants and the best swimming Pools with the longest slide.

On the other hand, I am very sorry to read about your disappointing feedback about the delay on getting your room. Whilst it is not in the nature of our resort profile, we did host a rather large International event recently and at the same time we are having our famous Nirwana Cup. Therefore, our room’s allocations and availability becomes very limited during that period and causing delay on getting your room. Under usual circumstances we would have liked to provide you with an early check-in in order to fully enjoy our 103 hectares of paradise…

Once again, thank you for sharing your point of view with our readers, please accept our sincere apologies for the inconveniences during your stay and please contact our Director of Rooms romy.mansoer@panpacific.com or me directly on ivan.casadevall@panpacific.com and we will make sure that you will have a memorable experience in our Resort.

Look forward to welcoming you back very soon to Pan Pacific Nirwana Bali Resort

Spend a week here playing golf with a group of friends.

The resort is on the spectacular coast just south of Tanah Lot Temple near Canngu, approximately 75 minutes from the airport. Grounds are beautiful and the golf course is both spectacular and challenging. Some of the holes are breathtakingly positioned requiring shots across ocean and inlets. The resort grounds are extensive and provide ample opportunity for walkers and joggers alike.

Rooms were very comfortable with good storage and furnishings. Bathrooms were well lit and featured a separate shower cubicle. A comfortable balcony completed the setting.

Lovely views are to be found everywhere and even if you're not a golfer this is still a very pleasant, well maintained and beautiful resort.

Excellent swimming pools and attentive staff abound.

A small collection of warungs beyond the 7th hole provide an ideal spot to enjoy a drink whilst watching the sun set behind Tanah Lot Temple but the food is very average.

Hotel restaurants offered a variety of cuisine options - over the week we had no problem finding different options each night; my personal favourite was the pool bar and grill. The restaurants need to be good because it's a loooong way to any outside venues.

Golf isn't easy to find in Bali - but the Pan Pacific is a great golf resort holiday, and surprisingly good value for money

We spent seven days here, played 4 rounds on their Greg Norman course, and spent the rest just messing about enjoying the resort, its restaurants, and Balinese culture shows/dinners in the evenings.

The resort itself? Only downside is that its cliff top with no swimmable beach. But it more than made up for it with a beautiful series of pools and lagoons that cascade into each other and give a big choice of how to enjoy them.

There are 4 restaurants and good variety - even pretty fair Italian It seemed every second night they had some outdoor buffet or bbq, with a good Balinese show going with it.

I was meaning to upgrade to a suite when I checked in, but when I saw the generous size and décor of the ground floor golf course view room we'd been allocated, there was simply no need.

The golf course is well designed with a couple of holes that are spectacular. Lovely, friendly girl caddies who feel privileged to have their jobs and act like it. Our only small criticism is that the greens aren't in best shape, but that may have been to do with the season. US$120 a round, carts and caddies included.

The only mistake we made was doing a day shopping trip to Kuta - spent mainly in traffic and people jams.

If you're golfer and hedonist, there's simply no need to venture past the front gate of the Pan Pacific.

Very happy to recommend.

Room Tip: Golf view rooms were good - generous and well furnished.

Brilliantly postioned hotel atop a hill with magnificent views of the sea, 180 degrees.
Great service at the sunset lounge... Very courteous staff at the merika restaurant..

Space space and space at every place.. The spa and gym area, the outdoor pond, meditation area. Thebeatutiful golf course, running track aside the golf course...
Complimentary TWG teas in the room..Good quality toiletries...
Automatic water dispensing wc...very nice for the price we got...

Thoroughly enjoyed a 2 day stay atthe property...a well maintained old property...worth exploring per se..

Breakfast spread is extremely good especially with the variety of nuts and cereal.

Lumch and dinner require more variety

Sleep quality average, what with a big conference group boogeying away at the pool on a friday night...
Locationwise,... Really away from the shopping areas of bali and the airport... Well, its next to the tanah lot temple complex.... Ideal for a few days resort stay, and not for a bali visit trip

Room Tip: Pool and sea facing.. 436 was great
