This place is amazing. Being my first time to Bali I didn't really expect much and this first stop at Puri really blew my mind away. The bungalows were very clean and nicely decorated. Instantly it felt like home. The staff were all very helpful and willing to go out of their way to make your stay an amazing one. Due to the number of mozzies at night the staff delivered room service one course at a time to ensure they were still warm by the time we ate them. That goes to show the level of attention to detail.

The place is about 30 minutes from the centre of Ubud so unless you're willing to hire a scooter or car it's be abit difficult to for sightseeing. The hotel does offer daily shutter buses into Ubud town.
I would highly recommend this resort and couldn't of asked for anything differently.

We do expect insects, butterflies, crickets and some creepy crawlies but hordes of flies are a different matter. Never seen before so many flies in one place, there were easily hundreds of them on the tables, sun-beds and worse in our bedroom. Nice scenery but the hordes of flies made it unbearable. We can't eat or sleep in peace, a situation exacerbated by the safe box emitting a high pitched alarm in the middle of the night around 2 am. The staff came after we made a few calls but they could not find out the cause so in the end after some time they decided to disable the safe and leave it open. Really a torturous experience that blotted our Bali trip. The staff are fine but sad to say we will not come back even if we get paid to do so.

Puri sebatu is way out in the woods- about almost an hour from ubud on a heavy traffic days- but once you are there...it's a gorgeous hide out...a place to just layback and experience the nothingness of the place...and the sound of the insects...
But the overall experience are not only extraordinary because of the ambience, and the architecture-- the people who are part of the service team are just extraordinary people, nice and sincere with genuine smile..warmhearted and just happy to be able to serve you and make your time a memorable ones...
Miss yogi, pak gede the supir..and all the others...we thank you
For the lovely experience...
We enjoy the lovely breakfast...and the quietness..
Can't wait to come back again...

My partner and I stayed here recently for 3 nights. We had the most amazing stay! We were greeted with ginger tea and a warm face washer to freshen up before being taken to our room. The room was absolutely gorgeous! The bed had been decorated with frangipani flowers/petals and there was a personalised note from management offering advise on our stay and advising that if there was any thing we needed we should just let them know! There were plenty of planned activities (both free and for a charge) available to guests but no pressure from staff to do any, your stay is up to you. We took advantage of the free yoga and beautiful infinity pool, as well as a Balinese cooking class and a walking tour through the rice fields. The staff were so friendly, always greeting up by name and coming up to chat about our day. Yogi even brought us some Balinese fruit from her own house for us to try!! The complimentary breakfast was delicious, with 4 different breakfast choices/ The only bad things I can say about this place is that there was no wifi, but we enjoyed the isolation and were able to use a laptop to check emails etc when we needed. additionally the hotel advertises that it is only 25 minutes out of ubud, however it took us 50 minutes to reach the hotel in traffic. They run free shuttle buses into ubud over the course of the day. We didn't try any of the spa treatments as we thought they were a little overpriced but they looked great. Would go back here in a heart beat! Thank you to all the staff at Puri Sebatu for making our stay so memorable!!

Stayed at this resort with my wife last week and we were both over the moon with the entire experience from start to finish. Their attention to detail is nothing short of perfect!
I am not usually one to comment but feel this place ticks all the boxes and it is important to get the word out.
The villas were true Indonesia style and huge when compared to others in the same price range.
If you want a wonderful romantic escape then THIS is the place. The secret picnic is one of the best experiences you and your partner will ever have...won't spoil the surprise, just trust me on this! couple this with the romantic dinner option!
I have saved the best till last...the staff...EVERY single employee of the resort are truly exceptional, attentive and sincere. You will want to come back as often as possible to visit your 'family' at Puri Sebatu. We fully intend to.
I have already recommended the resort to a friend who will be booking soon. Please email me if you have any questions.
To all the staff...a huge TERIMA KASIH and KAMI PASTI KEMBALI. 100% brilliant! Anyone who could fault this place has to be crazy.

Room Tip: Ask for rooms 101-103 as they are on the higher tier. Book all the romantic extras as they are amazi...

choose this hotel based on reviews on different websites and they did not let me down. it is very nice hotel for honeymoon and who is looking for quite place and relaxation. you should go and see the valley view your self it is a breath taking and I suggest you to take one of the three upper villas to have a better view. The staff were so friendly. The food was great. Ubud center is about 30-40 minutes from the hotel and they provide free shuttle to drop off and to pick up to the hotel three times. There is no WIFI so they provided us a laptop with USB connector for free but I used my phone hotspot was much better. One more thing that I like that since the hotel is far from shops like groceries and pharmacies they can get you anything from there for free.
