“What a rubbish policy”
Reviewed 4 May 2014

Ive been here few times here are few things that definitely not good to know:
1. Found used tissue, mineral water bottle and some rubbish in our balcony of lanais room right when we arrived there.
2. Dust everywhere.
3. Most important should be noted for those who is thinking to go there: WEAR swimsuit, yeah due the "new manager" said its the policy which wasnt written.. so it wasnt good swimming time for my vacation!
4. Have a look on the price list behin the cashier desk in the restaurant, ive seen the price for flying fox was 10thou and matter of fact its 25thou! Wewwwww.... update it please!
5 be aware of the rubbish or sharp things on the seapool. I found 3 beers bottles, 2 broken cups.
6. Why would we pay 10 thousand to rent a ring for swimming! Come on its just "ban bekas"
7. Strongly advise to the management just put down the 4stars hotel if you couldnt even make it worth as 4 stars.
Well guys... just think to find another hotel that really worth instead this DANGDUT hotel... not a good one.. you will be get annoyed with the Dangdut koplo music played day and night. serioulsy? Such ALAY hotel!

The first time I was here was 21 years ago, and nothing has changed. This hotel really need some serious renovation. It used to be the most prestige hotel in Anyer back in the day. The beach was dirty, the pool was dirty, pretty much everything needs cleaning. It was sad to see my childhood place like this now.

Well located near Anyer (not Serang) with both a clean pool and a nice little ocean beach, Villa was nice but bathrooms need renovation and we had no hot or even warm water. Does not deserve 4 stars unless they fix bathrooms,

Over priced for Indonesia but the whole Anyer beach area is. traffic getting there from jakart is terrible

Me and my family have been going to Mambruk Hotel in Anyer more then five times over the last few years and enjoy our stay each time although the only disappointing thing is the drive from Jakarta to Anyer which can be quite bumpy and lots of traffic to the road repairs which seem to never end and have been going on for years for a certain part where the heavy trucks pass from Cilegon. Mr Zonvri, the hotel manager is very nice as always and makes sure that our stay is a pleasant one. The villas are solid, clean, and spacious and still have that old Dutch character from the late 1800's. When it's not busy (during the week and not weekend) the pool is fantastic and right next to the beach which is actually not really a swimming beach as it's pretty rocky and strong currents. The hotel can arrange fishing and snorkelling trips which really depends on the sea conditions on the day. On a clear afternoon if you are lucky you can see some amazing views of Krakatau. Recommend things to do is check out the new lighthouse which was built by the Dutch after the tsunami and you can go all the way up and actually see the foundations of the old one, check out the beach at Marbella Hotel where you will find various beach activities but be careful of the strong currents if you swim in the sea there as there is no lifeguards. Anyer has allot of good eating spots ranging from good Javanese, Balinese and Padang as well as fresh seafood. There are a few bars around but if you want to drink at the hotel you make sure that you stock up from Jakarta as none of the stores sell alcohol as Anyer is a very strict Muslim area although saying that the local people are very nice and friendly.
