Don't expect any "wow" factor from the food. Its flavor is basic, but basically, thats how Pier one's food taste like, be it in Cebu's two branches or those in Manila. Pier one is more known for their ambiance, where they have both airconditioned dining area and al fresco areas. They have live band entertainment, sometimes good, sometimes not so good. Drinks are popular, especially their beer.

Pier one parkmall's ambience is very unique in Cebu, and that is a major selling point because of the cool breeze that commonly prevails at night (there is also a pier one in Ortigas Home Depot in Manila with the same infrastructure, but you breathe in Manila air which is not that great). Also, they have unique choices of live seafood, like jumbo prawns (occasional), live pampano, and diwal, a kind of shellfish that is supplied all the way from panay or negros I think.

Parkmall is a cool little place to shop with lots of little hole-in-the-wall to grab a snack, a meal or drink. Everyone said "Try Peir One" we did...too early... they open at 5pm...so a few days later we went back at about 7 pm and there was food, drink live music and a very attentive waiter! A good variety of seafood cooked in a traditional pinoy style. Be careful...those little red peppers in the dish with a tiny lime is deadly! Indoor and outdoor dining with a nice balcony on the second floor! Not much of a view but you stil lfeel like you are on board something! It was raining...maybe we WERE floating...or maybe it was the wine...Crispy shrimp and headson squid..... yummy enough after a day fo shopping. Free WiFi for those who just can not be disconnected. Great atmosphere, great service, and good vareity on the menu. Yes it will be a new plaace to stop each time I visit Cebu!

Cant remember what the food was like but it was quite basic. You can get a set of beers which is 5 for 200 peso from memory.

The deck is the winner. Outdoor dining and quite nice. Check it out.

Park mall in fact is worth checking out. For vegetarians theres a persian palate, for spa enthusasts theres an infrared sauna/massage deal at "Miracles of Stone" Spa and for bands theres "You". Theres also some other places in between including a small bazaar type area on the second level (up the escalators as you walk in above the information counter) and theres lots of copies, clothes, watches etc on the cheap.

Park Mall and Pier One.. worth a look.
