This property is a 50+-year-old bungalow owned by a hotel in Kandy. It's a cheap option in a town with many hotels that are far grander and costlier. The 4 of us had booked through booking.com and were expected. The young man receiving us did his best to make us comfortable and after absurd consultations with Kandy who were resistant, our dirver was able to use the third bed in one of our rooms. Spacious bedrooms with no attempt at comfort really, the bathroom was not "private" as advertised, but communal and quirky. The rooms and the public rooms were spartan verging on seedy, the garden was sadly neglected; the whole place needed a large dose of TLC, i.e. decent management. The good breakfast was a redeeming feature as was the attention of the young in-charge. Fine for a night, but we wouldn;t have stayed longer.
