Everytime i stop over at Bluefiled to take a short break en route Nuwara Eliya. Tea factory educational tour is great. Restuarant is clean and reasonably priced. Buffet has a good array of foods.
Kids play area is clean and well maintained. Tea outlet offers fresh oure ceylon tean and dont forget to have a sip! If you wish to buy ceylon tea, you get all the kinds of tea here.

Ample of parkings available. The washrooms well maintained too. Please make sure tea factory is open for educational tour and to view the tea making process. Factory may be closed on holidays and sometime weekend.

Very interesting excursion! We entered everywhere we wanted, saw all process of tea's preparation. Prices for tea are not so high as on others factories.

Stopped here based on our driver's suggestion. Free to wander through the factory. Guide provided a free tour and we tipped 200 Rs because of how slow we went and how many questions we asked. Got a free pot of tea and bought a piece of cake 90 Rs each. Excellent value and a good tour.

We took Kandy bus from Nuwara Eliya just after lunch so 1 hour drive plus half an hour factory tour was absolutely perfect timing to enjoy few cups of tea and some cakes in the Bluefield tea centre... Yes, tour is little short but as a first introduction to the amazing world of tea it is fully sufficient. Guide was very good too.

Bluefield is located near the more prestigious Mackwoods Tea Factory, but it is of a similar size. Our tour was free, led by a young lady who was very informative and to the point.

According to a local we met, the tea there is second in quality and reputation only to Mackwood's but the prices are a lot better. Having visited both, I recommend stocking up on tea at Bluefield; the choice in the shop is a lot better than at Mackwood's and if you really still want to get some of their tea too, you can do so later in shops all over the country and at the airport (not so for Bluefields).
