If you are a local stop to understand and appreciate the cuppa of your country which is world famed. If you are a foreign visitor don't miss the chance to visit and experience the process of making the worlds best loved beverage 'Ceylon tea'. This factory on the side of the road to Nuwara Eliya on your way from Kandy. Is a place must not be missed. One can visit the factory and see the entire process of plucked tea, sorting, withering, crushing, dehydrating and hydrating, sorting, tasting and grading and the end product of fine OP, BOP, BOPF, Silver n Golden tips as well as the famous green teas. Enjoy a cup of tea and if you are hungry a piece of chocolate cake or fish roll. There is a restaurant which also serves rive and curry and snacks just be aware of the spices, the tea shop selling variants of tea at Blue-field might be averagely expensive however the graded teas are fresh and you can't buy the same tea in the local shops. The local blended teas might not work for you visitors. 400 grams of local tea costs approx $4 so there is your rule of thumb. The staff at the factory, tea shop, Tea cafe and restaurant are helpful and cheerful, hope the tea shop accepts credit cards coz I've seen customers having issues at check-out.

One of the most beautiful tea Factories in the region. The Color blue adds beauty to the body of Pure Ceylon Tea.

Everytime i stop over at Bluefiled to take a short break en route Nuwara Eliya. Tea factory educational tour is great. Restuarant is clean and reasonably priced. Buffet has a good array of foods.
Kids play area is clean and well maintained. Tea outlet offers fresh oure ceylon tean and dont forget to have a sip! If you wish to buy ceylon tea, you get all the kinds of tea here.

Ample of parkings available. The washrooms well maintained too. Please make sure tea factory is open for educational tour and to view the tea making process. Factory may be closed on holidays and sometime weekend.

Very interesting excursion! We entered everywhere we wanted, saw all process of tea's preparation. Prices for tea are not so high as on others factories.
