“Just a normal Tea Factory Experience”
Reviewed 26 July 2014

This is a very normal visit of a tea factory, where the tour guide who seemed to have memorized the process and started rattling off like a parrot, it also seemed that if we would have interrupted her she would have forgotten the balance process. You can finish the visit in 15 minutes.
The place is good, they also give tea for testing, though the tea is pricey here you can get tea in any super market.
They have a small restaurant as well which serves good food.

“Sri Lankan owned tea factory”
Reviewed 18 July 2014

Sri Lankan owned, visit here and your putting money back into the Sri Lankan tea fields rather than privately owned ones.
Great tour of how tea is made.
Complimentary tea after tour.
Photos of surrounding area.
Lovely gift shop.
Sad that a lot of the tea hills have been privately brought out and are no longer owned by Sri Lankan citizens

“Typical Tea Plantation”
Reviewed 14 July 2014

I don't really have any other tea plantations to compare to although it seems pretty typical from what I hear. The girl that showed me around had her 'memorized' spiel which was quite informative and she was able to answer some simple additional questions. Her English was acceptable. Not a bad way to spend a half hour to break up a long day of driving.

“Nice tea factory”
Reviewed 11 July 2014

Nice factory and nice tea shop - but the only place where we need to pay after tea tasting - and after we buy a tea. I hope, it will be nice. The staff is not so English speaking.

“A gem”
Reviewed 9 July 2014

Tea the old fashioned way. Old English machinery a hands on tour through and old fashioned teak floored tea factory with a sample cuppa at the end. The tour was informative, friendly and perfect. The only issue is when they let you go for a walk around the estate (and they do warn you) retired tea pickers, tea pickers and children will persist with you for money and pens - but you were warned. Easy to access by bus from Nuwara Eliya to the door and back!
