“Learn about culture, eat good food, see performances”
Reviewed 19 June 2014

One of the best sights in Yilan County. This has a great introduction to many forms of traditional art in Taiwan - dancing, opera, ceramics, woodworking, etc. There are shops and places to eat. Definitely a great thing to do for the morning/afternoon.

“Traditional Arts?”
Reviewed 7 May 2014

We did not see any traditional arts. It is rather a fun and shopping park for kids. The best part is the traditional homestead.

Reviewed 25 April 2014

It's a must visit place for foreigners who want to know and experience some traditional art crafts! Brilliant place for families with small children, because there are many DIY activities for parents and their child to enjoy

“Interesting street selling handicrafts”
Reviewed 19 January 2014

If you have limited time, skip the museum halls and head straight to the street with quint shops selling handicrafts, old school toys such as wood spinning tops but hand painted in cute designs (angry bird, Doraemon etc), puppets in elaborate chinese opera costumes. Nice surprises, price reasonable, not your usual retail therapy which I find it fun and refreshing.
