“Be Pampered in Paradise”
Reviewed 25 March 2010

I have stayed at Life Resort in Quy Nhon twice now and it is one of my favourite places. The staff are incredible and the service first rate. The spa is amazingly located high above the rooms and the view is stunning. The spa service is fabulous and the spa staff are extremely well trained by two amazing Thai trainers who oversee the operation.
The food was fabulous. The rooms have the most amazing view over the South China Sea and the shower also has the same view.
There is no shopping anywhere nearby which meant we spent our time between the spa and the gorgeous horizon-pool. Just beautiful.
The beach is great too but this time the weather made the ocean a bit too rough for swimming and the pool is definitely a great experience.
I travel alot and was still impressed by the service and friendliness of all the staff. I'll definitely be back for another relaxing & pampering stay.

We had a great time at life resorts in Quy Nhon. It's a nice resort 18km south of Quy Nhon. Away from town and the crowds: the resort, the sea and the beach and nothing else. Hence it's quiet and peaceful.

We spent 5 nights there.

The superior room (which is the cheapest category) was really spacious and beautiful furnished. There's a lounge, a patio and a canopy bed. Book over internet, because the internet prices are much better!

The resort is directly on the beach with a nice private beach area. Even the pool area is beautiful and the pool is big and deep (1,9m) enough to swim a few rounds. Two beach towels are provided per person.

The breakfast buffet was great. On our last day we had to have breakfast a la carte. I prefer definitely buffet and I hope it was an exception.

There are plenty of choices in the menu for lunch and dinner. The meals were usually fine. The meat quality of pork and chicken wasn't as good as beef. In our opinion the pork fillet strips weren't fillet at all. But we hadn't to pay for it and got another dish.

The staff is friendly and helpful.

If you ask at the reception you can get wired broadband internet in your room for free. There are two computers in the lobby to use for free as well.

Bicycles are available on a first come first serve basis for free.

A truly splendid resort in a peaceful, spectacular setting. We had a Deluxe room located on the top (3rd) floor of the block. The room itself was spacious and very comfortably furnished. The balcony was massive - albeit not particularly private - and the shower with its view over the whole bay a delight. We would strongly recommend the Deluxe top floor rooms since the views of the cove in which the hotel sits and the offshore islands is one of the best we have experienced. This is particularly so first thing in the morning as the sun rises out of the sea.
The restaurant and bar are situated above both the infinity pool and the beach and with the outdoor terrace provides an ideal setting for either drinks or meals. The breakfasts are respectable without being spectacular whilst the restaurant menu is extensive with both the raw produce and its preparation being of a high standard. Unsurprisingly being a hotel there is a good price tag attached to this.
The beach is first class - lovely fine sand, clean with very comfortable sunbeds under big thatched shades.
The staff are welcoming, friendly and very helpful and the whole resort is well designed, well equipped and well managed.
So if you value serenity in a wonderful setting this is the resort for you. The downside of course is its very seclusion. With the exception of 2/3 small provisions shops in the nearby fishing village of Bai Dai - walk left along the beach to the far end of the bay where the village is hidden just back from the beach - there is nothing else around. Quy Nhon is c.12km to the North (around 125,000VND each way in a taxi) and apart from shops only possesses three or four fairly basic seafood restaurants.
Without a doubt we would however happily return.

We stayed here for our delayed honeymoon last year. We had originally booked it for the previous year which was cancelled and when we were rearranging our trip thought twice about booking it because of cost and a reduced budget! I am very glad we did! It was our luxurious treat - and a very special few days. It is obviously more expensive than most of the accomodation in Vietnam - but you get what you pay for - in terms of luxury, surroundings, food and service. We actually booked the honeymoon package - which was quite tight to fit in to just 2 nights - but brilliant. We had a massage, champagne, candlelit meal, beach BBQ and other bits - which all worked fantastically well. The resort was not busy when we stayed and so was really relaxing. The airport transfer was another bonus - after backpacking in the south of the country - it all felt very luxurious. The setting was beautiful - beach and scenary so unspoilt and very 'Vietnamese'
Loved it and would definately recommend if you are looking for a special few days!

Beautiful resort way out of town, with nothing nearby - no need to leave for days! Very spacious Cham inspired rooms overlooking private beach, with waves crashing in and picturesque fishing boat scene just beyond. Great buffet breaky's, good staff, lovely resort, great pool. Food and drinks ok and massage pretty average as seems to be the norm thoughout Vietnam. Beds as hard as futons - the biggest downer of this beautiful place. A couple of computers in the foyer is, I guess, their business centre, I would expect better for a joint of this calibre. Overall a winner.

Great hotel in a beautiful location in a little travelled area of Vietnam. Our rooms gave us amazing views of the sunrise over the water every morning, and it was great to be able to open the doors fully and let the balcony become part of our room.

Restaurant and drink prices are more expensive than in town, but not too over the top considering. We could enjoy beers delivered to our sun-beds on the beach for $1.70 so I can't complain!

The breakfast buffet in the mornings was extensive, and the Pho was the best I tried in 3 weeks in Vietnam. The evening menu catered for all tastes but would get a little restrictive if you stayed for more then a few days- get into town and eat seafood super cheap and super fresh in any of the number of restaurants along the seafront!

Criticisms- no shuttle bus into town (this would have been as asset considering the hotels location, and they run a bus to ferry the staff in so why not?). Also, there were a number of hotel tours that could be arranged, but at highly expensive prices per person. I would have loved an iPod dock in our room too...

I would go back and stay here again.
