If you want to see the whole area called Hot Springs at one time this is a must see. The drive up is slow and winding but nice. The views from the tower are great. On the trips up and down we saw a total of 4 deer near the side of the road, so take it easy and you may just see one too!

After driving through the historic district and feeling a little rushed the night before, we decided to make the beautiful, leisurely and winding drive to the top for some perspective. With a fee that might seem a little high for time spent, the 5 of us rode the elevator up to the enclosed level, as the stairs were being painted, and we enjoyed the great panoramic views, with the chronological history. Three of us went to the next level, with safe, chest high and above railing and a fresh, cool breeze and a unique view of the town and surrounding area lakes. From there, we made the short drive to the beginning of the series of trails (available on the National Parks site), and we strolled a climb through some well kept pathways, with some mild labor. (Would recommend water and snacks taken, as the Tower store was a little limited.) Great overall views of what Hot Springs offers beyond the bathhouses!

It was a nice drive and we enjoyed the scenery, but not sure we would go back. Lots of roads in that area just as pretty and less conjested

We came to see the mountains and this was the way to do it! 360 view of Hot Springs and surrounding mountains. Coupons for tickets were in practically every shop and hotel in Hot Springs. We drove up and loved the winding roads. May try the hike in the Fall when it is not so hot. Can imagine how beautiful it must be to see Fall color. We were staying at The Arlington, so getting those shots of it nestled in the valley was a big hit for the kids. Take as long or as little time as you need. There is an enclosed observation area and an open air one...little ones will need to be closely supervised outside. Little shop in the lobby has snacks and t-shirts that we did not see in town. Took us about 45 minutes to purchase tickets, ride to the top, look at everything, take our pictures and go through the shop on the way out.

Hot Springs Mountain is in Hot Springs National Park. The tower on top of the mountain is about 200 feet high and the views from the third floor are really great. The second floor has equally good view and lots of good displays. This is a don't miss attraction.
