“Wanna See Alligators?”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 1 August 2014

Can't miss 'em. Up close and very personal. We arrived just in time for feeding time. The feeders had stories to tell...including how Babe Right hit a ball from what is now a nearby parking lot. Was once a ball field. They have a marker where he stood. They estimate that he hit it directly into the alligator pit. Fun. There is an enclosed building with baby gators....a young man was in there BAREFOOT and wrangling them....giving people the chance to feed them. We were able to hang back when everyone cleared out to see the big feeding show and he grabbed one and allowed us to touch. Very cool! The farm itself is historical and dates back to the days of the construction of the Bath Houses. There was a need for attractions for people who were coming to use the Baths. Native to Arkansas, Alligators seemed a likely attraction.

“go at feeding time”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 30 July 2014

The hotel staff recommended going at noon on Saturday for the feeding time. Was great and very entertaining. Lots of alligators being fed raw chicken by hand. My child enjoyed the petting zoo also.

“Fun for kids!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 29 July 2014 via mobile

This place was a neat little place to stop. They had WAY MORE than just alligators (goats, deer, donkeys, mountain lions, peacocks, ducks, tortoises, a parrot, monkeys, turkeys, a raccoon and more). The kids got to feed and pet a baby alligator. The owners were super friendly and we had a great time!

“Rainy Day Visit”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 22 July 2014

This place was a nice escape for the kids to see something different than pools and walking around what they were not interested in. The cost was a bit high I thought. They gave you a piece of bread to feed the goats (who didn't want it) and the deer. It was a fun experience but short...then we went into the area where you could feed the baby gators. Nice to do..did cost extra..then outside to see a small amount of other animals. Mt. lions. merkats, bigger gators, etc. Then of course the gift shop. Didn't get anything but it was nice to break the monotony of the rainy day. All in all I guess if it wasn't raining we'd still have gone.

“See ya later, alligator - maybe”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 21 July 2014

This farm is a family business of 3 generations. The staff was very friendly, helpful, and informative. Unfortunately, there were a lot of people the day I was there and finding a good viewing spot to watch the feedings was difficult. Before feeding the alligators, the manager/operator gave a talk about the history of the place and it's operation which might have been interesting if I could have heard it. He did not use any kind of amplification or sound system so his voice was drown out by noisy kids and rude talking adults. His presentation was rather lengthy so it was understandable that very small children got bored and started to whine. I felt a little like whining myself after standing for 15 minutes and unable to hear anything! Once the action started, it was fun to watch all the alligators, which had barely moved a muscle, suddenly come alive and swarm around the pen to be fed. They were pretty aggressive and a little scary because they can really move fast! The zoo was not much with animals in small enclosures which always makes me a little sad - but they seemed to be healthy and well cared for. The petting area was much the same. Kids seemed to enjoy most the building where baby alligators were kept. They were allowed to hold the gators a few minutes and observe the feel of the animal's hide. For an extra $1, one could be given a long handled fork with a small piece of meat on the end to feed to the babies. I felt the admission price was a little steep for a place where we spent barely an hour because there was just not that much to see. My biggest complaint of the place was the rough rocky paths which made ambulation quite difficult for anyone with mobility issues. There were only a few sidewalks and ramps and all areas around the pens were covered with deep and large fragment gravel. Also, I did not see a private parking lot so most folks parked on the street where possible or used a church parking lot down the street. Overall, it was an ok place and I might go back if another grandkid wants to see it. Well, maybe....
