When we arrived they did not have our room ready and it was after the check in time and not something you like to hear when you are hungry and tried from a long drive. The sole elevator is the slowest elevator in Arkansas. An overwhelming musty smell when stepped of the elevator on the third floor and got worse when we entered our room. The A/C leaked all over the floor surrounding the unit. By the look of the ceiling the room above had the same issue. The fridge sounded like it was it's last leg and work us up during the night. There was a dog that barked like crazy any time people came down the hall or the elevator stopped on the hall. It took a day for them to clean the elevator when someone spilled stuff. That was annoying at times. House keeping did half of the job...just empty trash and replaced towels, never made the bed or cleaned anything. The hotel has a lot of need for touch up paint in so many areas of the hotel. Plus a lot of other repairs. The pool was coooold and didn't have any towels for use after you got out of it. They did have a crate full of towels outside the front door for the bikers to use. The bikers acted as if they owed the parking lot (no we don't dislike bikers cause we ride as well). Breakfast was just average, except for the sausage links the served where so hard and dried out at times that a person could not even bite them and them were luck warm at best.

so let me begin by saying, the general appearance of the hotel was very nice, the room was nice, and clean was no noise at all, it was in a good location with places to eat nearby..one of them "the Bleu Monkey" is just a walk thru the parking lot and you got good food and good drinks. the problems were little stuff...the door to the closet, was off the hinges in room " 422" , it seemed the hot water was scarce but that could be attributed to a "labor day" crowd and everyone wanting to take baths that night and that next morning...no or very little hot water, the drain in the tub was stopped up so it flowed slowly ,so you stood in dirty water...clean body..dirty feet, toilet paper spool wasn't functioning, most of those things to me are kind of trivial..I mean there were no bugs in the refrigerator like i'd experienced at a Laquinta in the Atlanta area a few years ago..so it was just fine and for a one or two nite stay there was nothing about the place that would stop me from staying here again ..ps..we thought the complimentary breakfast was really nice ..my wife talked to one of the attendants and she said they took pride in their breakfast and they should it was simple but good, and tasty .

Very cumbersome check-in. Got a text that my room was ready but when I got to the desk I was told it wasn't. It actually was, however, the room was not completely ready. The desk clerk then checked me in and promptly checked me back out when I was staying 2 days. Time consuming and frustrating. A/C in the room barely worked. The TV did not work and had to be replaced (the evening shift desk clerk did this and he was very helpful, spent a lot of time on this problem and it was much appreciated). The motel is pet friendly which is great but apparently there is no limit to the number or size of dogs you can have. I saw one person with 3 very large dogs. Room smelled of disinfectant. The motel is located behind a restaurant which makes parking difficult and the sole elevator is the slowest elevator in Arkansas. On the plus side, they have an excellent hot breakfast. The property is also approximately 4 miles through heavy traffic to the downtown historic district. Oh, and they locked me out of my room on my second day. At $176 for the first night and $144 the second night I would expect a little more.

Room tip: Stay somewhere else.

We were treated like we were the new owners of the hotel. Excellent and professional staff!! Breakfast was wonderful. Variety of choices, well prepared and presented. Very tasty too! It was free but so good I would have paid for it.
