I've been visiting the Cheese Corner since the 1970s. It's changed owners more than once over the years but has consistently been the "go to" place in Hot Springs for a classic "Soup n' Sandwich" lunch.
It can be difficult to get there during business hours, they're only open weekdays for lunch so if you find yourself in town at lunch time during the week, be sure to work the Cheese Corner into your schedule.
The soups are always sumptuous and the sandwiches are fantastic. It doesn't really matter what you order, I've never had anything there I didn't love and the selection of cheeses is one of the best you'll find in Arkansas.
The building is very old and rustic, restrooms are small and cramped but clean. If you're the sort of person who doesn't want to walk past a mop bucket to get to the restroom, this isn't the place for you. Old school charm and a warm feeling you may have just slipped back in time to the 1970s are all just part of the experience.
The service is always friendly and attentive without being intrusive. I just can't think of anything negative to say to this long time staple of Hot Springs dining.
