Food was excellent especially the salad with lentils. Never expected this quality of food in Hot Springs.

Schnitzel and Rouladen were fair tasting. Food came out lukewarm. The cabbage rolls were the best part of the meal and were very tasty. Beer was not very cold.

Service was great. Place has potential unless food doesn't step up a notch.

We arrived a little late on a Friday night. It took forever for out server to arrive. Apparently she was on break and no one had told her they had sat us in her section. However after she arrived we were not disappointed. She was very knowledgable of the beer selection and menu items. German beer is awesome! I had the Jäger Schnitzel with potato caked and red cabbage. Huge portions and amazing taste. My boyfriend had the recommended burger that was a mix of lamb and sirloin, topped with cheeses pesto. His burger was delish as well! We will definitely come here again on out next trip into Hot Springs. I would have given this place a 5 if not for the slow initial greeting.

My wife and I met in Germany, lived there for over a year, and have returned whenever possible. We are involved with German culture, traditions and cuisine at home in Baltimore. As we planned a week in the Hot Springs area, I found Steinhaus Keller and looked forward to a visit while we were in the area. Did so last evening, and were quite impressed. The restaurant brought back memories of several of our old haunts in Germany, and is well-suited to wear the name "Keller". The owners are to be commended for creating such an atmosphere.

We went into this knowing that Steinhaus is relatively new, but follows a long-run German place at that location. We learned from Michelle that the management has past experience with the prior place.

Schnitzel is always a favorite of ours, although the traditional veal is increasingly harder to find. Pork is a good alternative, and the offerings at Steinhaus are well-prepared and offered in a variety of options. My wife stuck with the standard served with lemon and capers and was very pleased. I opted for their take on Rouladen, which has added wurst rolled up inside with the mustard, pickle and onion. Both dishes were excellent overall. Sides of red cabbage (apparently made on-site and a pleasant surprise as most use pre-prepared), hot German Potato Salad (very similar to the way we make it at home), and fries were all well received.

A good selection of German beers and wines, as well as non-German options and house drinks rounded out the menu offerings.

Coffee, schnapps, and apple strudel finished off a great meal and evening at Steinhaus Keller.

Everything we hoped for, and all done well.
