Our stay at Lookout Point was delightful from the moment we arrived to the moment we—reluctantly—departed three days later. Nothing at this inn is not done to excellence. Accommodations are tasteful, warm, and artfully arranged; superbly neat and clean, but equally comfortable and cozy. The beauty of the interior extends outdoors in an intricately landscaped lawn that sweeps down to the edge of Lake Hamilton, a picturesque view that can be enjoyed from your room or from the rowboat. As for hospitality, Kristie and Ray Rosset do not miss a detail. They themselves are extremely gifted in striking that balance between friendliness and near distance. They welcome their guests royally, but quietly, and do not impose in the least. The breakfasts they serve up are worth writing home about—both sumptuous and delectable. Every late afternoon homebaked goodies and chilled beverages welcome you in from the day’s adventures or see you off for the evening’s. One could grow accustomed to such simple elegance, such warm, relaxing, rejuvenating days and nights as this inn provides in such understated abundance. Lookout Point is bed, breakfast, and so much besides.

My husband took me to Lookout Point for a special birthday and special it was indeed. We can't wait to go back. From the moment we arrived to homemade desserts, iced tea, wine and cheese we felt pampered. The inn is gorgeous with the most incredible views of the grounds and Lake Hamilton. The rooms are beautiful with the coziest bedding. Breakfast was delicious both mornings. (They even noted that I don't like "plain" eggs.) Honestly, our every whim was catered to. I cannot imagine our stay being any better.

My family recently stayed for 6 nights at Lookout Point. The owners & staff proved to be gracious, friendly and helpful. Breakfasts were tasty, different each day & delightful in its presentation – but we cannot forget the wonderful afternoon social time & its sumptuous offerings. The home, its rooms in addition to the sleeping area & outdoor amenities were welcoming, cozy and useful – leaving the grounds was not necessary to relax & enjoy oneself. Getting around the greater Hot Springs area was enhanced by the owners who were most helpful to give suggestions based on my family’s desires, and directions – the location was exceptional for getting anywhere in the area.

Lookout Point is beautiful. This is the perfect place to get away from the city. The rooms overlook Lake Hamilton and are full of interesting antiques, linens, throws, quilts, and a wide variety of paintings and art. The view is priceless -- Fall color, sunsets, Canadian geese, smooth water. The grounds are truly a garden. It's full of wonder, that calls one to linger and rest -- waterfall, all sorts of plants, birds, benches and swings, a labyrinth. Our room had a private porch with two comfortable rocking chairs, perfect for sharing morning coffee or an afternoon glass of wine (both complementary). Kristie and Ray and staff truly have a gift of hospitality and seem to enjoy making their guests stay wonderful. For couples, all is quite romantic thought I'd love to return for a girls weekend, too. The weekend was a treat to one's self -- body and soul.

My husband and I accidently came across Lookout Point Lakeside Inn during an internet search for visiting Hot Springs, and we are so glad we did. From our first interaction with the staff during our reservation phone call we were impressed. The pictures of Lookout Point are beautiful, but does not do the actual grounds any justice. The inn is a beautiful arts and crafts styled home, which was a huge plus for us since we love this style of home. The rooms are a great size and have a beautiful view of the lake. We were only momentarily disappointed that our room (Snowball) did not have a private deck, because the view was amazing regardless. The grounds are beautiful...well landscaped, soothing rock water fountain, flowers, trees, bird feeders, a labyrinth, canoe for your use, plenty of outdoor seating and afghans/blankets available to keep you warm!
The breakfasts were delicious as well. The detail that is put into the preparation (i.e. typed menus for each table, served in courses) is pampering. I also really appreciated the fact that the owners/innkeepers, Kristie & Ray (as well as other staff) took the time to introduce themselves to you at breakfast and get to know a little about you.
There is also an innkeepers reception every evening, with wine, cheese and other snacks, which is just the perfect holdover until dinner. There is also a complimentary snack bar, with a little bit of everything, just so nice to have when you get the munchies! You also have the option to order lunch and dinner, at an additional fee.
We did the "leaves & waterfalls" package, and all that we got with it was great! A delicious picnic lunch, an awesome souvenir backpack that has the essential picnic items, tickets to the Mountain Tower and Garvan Botanical Gardens, it was great and made for some really fun outings as a first-time visitor to Hot Springs.
Although we were on vacation, every time we returned to the inn, my husband stated "it just feels like home", which I believe is such a testament to the care and love that Kristie and Ray put into their business, as well as their guests.
The hershey kisses scattered throughout the inn were just an added bonus to a wonderful experience!

My husband and I stayed at the Inn, to celebrate a belated 25th anniversary getaway. We couldn't have asked for anything more. The staff was very friendly and accomodating, especially Annette who checked us in on Friday night. The owners Ray and Kristie Rosset greeted us the next morning and made us feel right at home. The Inn has a delicious breakfast and all the special touches, like the coffee bar early in the morning, a snack bar and a "dessert evening". Our room was beautiful and romantic....and the view from our room was absolutely breathtaking.
We will definitely be back!

My husband and I never got a honeymoon and so we decided on our 4 year anniversary of being together we would go somewhere as a vacation/honeymoon. I looked for weeks to try and find a good package and Lookout Point had the best packages to offer. Once we got there, the stay was simply amazing. We had so much fun canoeing the lake, and drinking coffee on our porch outside our room. The food was great, and the innkeepers were wonderful.
